Time to Celebrate! Passage of HB1923 & Medicaid Budget Amendment!!

​Governor Youngkin, on the last day of legislative action, SIGNED HB 1923 and a budget that INCLUDES MEDICAID REIMBURSEMENT PARITY FOR ALL MIDWIVES! Virginia becomes the first state in the nation to recognize autonomous midwifery practice and reimbursement at 100% of fee schedule for all nationally certified midwives! Congratulations Virginia!!!!

HUGE news!

I know many of you in the professional world have to deal with tongue-tied babies, their moms, and the nonsense you hear from people who don’t understand the science. You may get frustrated with a feeling of hopelessness or an inability to take action to correct what is going on. What we need is for those other providers to become educated. Unfortunately, we cannot force them to learn, but we can arm ourselves with as much information as possible.

If you have not taken my course, what I can promise you is that this course will set you up for having as much information at your fingertips to help guide those who have less information. It can help guide your families as well and in the long-term, it is what needs to happen to help push the needle in the opposite direction. Pregnancies can be challenging emotionally, physically (all the things!). This mama handled it with grace and honesty. She met the challenge with power, prayer and a rawness you only get through birth. And was amazing! Welcome baby Selah “mission” a fitting name. You Midwife loves you!💝
