Just a short clip of our friend and performer Johnny Rogers....enjoy๐

Hey purple family...just shy of 6 months until Princefest, and we're getting excited๐๐๐ Just a reminder that our dear friend and artist, Moises Suriel, will be unveiling his newest artistic masterpiece at the event inside Turner Hall, New Ulm, at 3:00pm, April 20th, 2024๐๐๐
Moises has been an integral part of Prince Legacy Project since his beautiful "Red Corvette" mural was painted on the wall of "The Healing Hub".
The concept art for "The Prince Bronze Statue" was his next art contribution, along with many hours of reviewing and reworking during the long process to completion.
Once items were relocated indoors, a new mural, "Purple Rain", was commissioned, and once again, the finished art was spectacular๐๐๐
Moises' final piece of commissioned art, "Eyes", soon joined "The Prince Memorial" in it's new and final location at "The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame" in New Ulm๐๐๐
Prince Legacy Project looks forward to the official unveiling and hopes to see many of those that are featured on the Moises 8' x 8' "Face" mural at Princefest in 2024๐๐๐

๐๐๐CALLING ALL PRINCE ARTISTS AND CRAFTERS๐๐๐
This is an open invitation to all Prince artists, crafters, photographers, authors, etc., to join us on April 20th at Turner Hall, New Ulm, for the return of Princefest 2024๐๐๐
The following have already committed to joining us: Moises Suriel, Kim Darden with her Prince apparel, Rob "Dr. Metal" Reardon, Gi Gi Turker, Mary Johnson, and William Drew Photography.
UPDATE: Jean Renee will be joining us๐
ARTrageous Adventures will be on board๐
The venue at Turner Hall is huge and can accommodate many others who wish to join in. Please contact Trish M Witmer by DM or call Joel, 507-380-4888, if interested๐๐๐

Prince Legacy Project and The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame are honored and thrilled to announce that artist Moises Suriel will be unveiling his "Face Mural" for the first time in public at our event April 20th, 2024. This is a must see in person piece of art๐๐๐

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS SO CHECK BACK OFTEN AND SAVE THE DATE...๐

What an exciting day in the Purple Mecca๐๐๐ Sharon Nelson, sister, Mark Webster, cousin "Chazz", Former Mayor Denny Laufenburger, Matt "Doctor" Fink, Joel King and other Prince associates, joined the Purple Fams in celebrating the official naming of "Prince Rogers Nelson Memorial Highway". Many thanks to all involved...it was a beautiful day๐๐๐

Jimmy Steinfeldt, who began his photography career in his native Minneapolis before moving and working for 30 years in Los Angeles, visited The Prince Memorial at the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame on Thursday. He is a renowned artist-musician photographer and a long time friend of Joel. He graciously presented a copy of his book, "Rock 'N' Roll Lens", along with an autographed photo of Prince, to Prince Legacy Project and the Music Hall of Fame for display.

Two very special, lovely ladies came to The MN Music Hall of Fame, New Ulm, today๐๐. Ursula from Amsterdam and Rita from The Netherlands traveled the extra miles to take in the beauty of The Prince Memorial, the Guitar Sculpture, and visit with Joel. Prince brings family together from all over the world๐๐๐๐

Joel welcomed approximately 23 visitors who took the time to come to see The Prince Memorial and MN Music Hall of Fame today. Many states were represented...here are just a few (names in captions). Still 2 days to visit..hours are 10am to 2 pm๐๐๐

With the hustle of moving, placing and arranging of all the items for The Prince Memorial in The MN Music Hall of Fame; then the new Tribute Motorcycle and the installation of the Guitar Sculpture, the beautiful Prince Bronze Statue has taken a back seat to the newest items.
Prince Legacy Project would like to take this opportunity to feature the Prince statue since Prince is the reason for all that has happened, has made all this possible, and is the reason for this week's celebration๐๐๐

Carolyn and Carmen, from Prince Army Indiana, stopped by The MN Music Hall of Fame, New Ulm, today. They visited with Joel at The Prince Memorial and Guitar Sculpture๐๐๐๐.

In anticipation of the influx of Prince Fams in the next few weeks, final additions and rearrangments were completed today at The Prince Memorial. These included the placement of the "Prince Eyes" mural by Moises Suriel and the hanging of the final two note panels๐
The Prince Memorial, along with the Guitar Sculpture, at The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame are ready and waiting for what will surely be a trip worth making for Minnesota residents and Prince aficionados alike๐๐
The Prince Legacy will continues in its search for additional items to add in promoting the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson๐๐๐

As promised, here are two pictures of the Guitar Sculpture plaque. The first is as it is framed at the sculpture. As you can see, the sun flare makes it difficult to photograph. The second is a photo taken indoors without the frame...much easier to read๐๐๐
Prince Legacy Project extends our sincere appreciation to all the listed donors...we could not have succeeded without your continued support๐๐
๐๐๐

The long awaited and highly anticipated event happened today....the Purple Guitar Sculpture by artist Jefferson Davis is installed at its permanent location๐๐๐
The placement went smoothly, along with the donor plaque, and is a superb addition to The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame exterior.
Prince Legacy Project invites all to New Ulm to enjoy this beautiful homage to Prince๐๐๐๐

Prince Legacy Project would like to introduce their newest addition to The Prince Memorial at The Minnesota Music Hall of Fame....an Authentic Purple Rain Tribute Motorcycle๐๐๐. This was made possible through a grant from The Verna and Carl Schmidt Foundation, which has supported us through many projects and whom we consider friends๐๐
Meticulously created by Ben Menth, it is the final one to be built. Ben also created the ones for both Dave Chappell and First Avenue๐๐๐
The new motorcycle replaced the previous one on display which will be turned back over to its owners, Kim "Lips" Bartell and Boulos Abou.
Prince Legacy Project continues to add to the memory of and supports the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson๐๐๐๐๐๐
The love and respect for Prince transcends time๐๐๐๐๐๐น

Joel did some rearranging today so that art donated to Prince Legacy Project and The MN Music Hall of Fame by a local artist could be displayed together. Special thanks to Mary Bendtsen Johnson of Rochester, MN, for her exquisite art donation๐๐๐
Also, a panel of the donated musical notes was placed beneath the granite bench๐
Prince Legacy Project will continue revamping the Prince Memorial to keep it exciting and beautiful as is befitting Prince Rogers Nelson๐๐

Prince Legacy Project is excited to share a new addition to our memorial at the MN Music Hall of Fame...an exquisite mural by artist Moises Suriel ๐๐๐๐๐ This new piece should be installed within a week.
Also, May 21st, the Guitar Sculpture will be installed along with the plaque outside the entrance to the MN Music Hall of Fame๐๐๐๐
A third surprise will be added by June๐๐๐.
The Prince Legacy Project continues its mission of promoting the legacy of Prince Rogers Nelson๐๐๐๐
