Student Works is a New Philadelphia–based, student-run home service business committed to keeping properties clean and well maintained while creating valuable work opportunities for local students.
This front landscape bed was completely overgrown and in need of some attention. We cleaned out the weeds, reshaped the bed, installed new timber edging, refreshed the mulch, and brought the entire area back to life.

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
This rock bed had become overgrown with weeds and grass, making the front porch area look tired and difficult to maintain. We removed the existing stone, cleaned out the bed, installed fresh landscape fabric, redefined the border with the existing boulders, and reinstalled the washed decorative river rock.
The transformation wasn’t massive—but the difference in curb appeal definitely was. Clean, low-maintenance, and ready for years to come.

Another mulch job completed! 🌿
Yesterday we installed a fresh layer of triple-shred compost mulch throughout these landscape beds. Not only does it give the property a clean, finished look, but it also helps retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, suppress weeds, and slowly add nutrients back into the soil as it breaks down.
The result is healthier plants, healthier soil, and curb appeal that stands out.

What a day!
We started the morning off strong with a beautiful mulch job that went super smooth. The sun was out, the weather was great, and everything came together perfectly.
After that, the crew got hooked up with an amazing lunch from JT Smoke BBQ!
On our way to the next mulch job, we stopped to get gas, and the truck we just bought two days ago decided to break down and throw a little roadblock into our day haha. Thankfully, everything turned out okay!
A huge thank you to our clients today for treating us so well and being patient with the unexpected breakdown. Also, a special thanks to the team for coming out on this chilly, rainy day and still getting the job done!
