✈️ Following the first anniversary of our Uzbekistan office, members of our UK Business Development team flew over to meet with our Tashkent colleagues.

Members of the UK team spent a week connecting with our local IT specialists, meeting with IT Park and local universities, and taking in the beautiful mountain sceneries. The Uzbek and UK teams also visited Lake Charvak, the pearl of the Tian Shan Mountains, and the Amirsoy mountain, one of the largest ski resorts in Uzbekistan!

🤩 In the office, the Tashkent team held presentations for the Business Development team, covering the Uzbek market, engineering capabilities, and client offerings. The team also showed the UK Business Development team how the Uzbek IT sector is rapidly developing and showcased the globally high-demand technical talent held by our local engineers. The Uzbek office is eager and ready to take on even more new projects!

😀 Following our Gdansk iTechMeetup, we head to Kraków on December 7 at the Diamante Plaza for another tech!

Our speaker, Oleksii Romanchenko, Software Engineer, will discuss .NET 7's improved functionality and how these changes were implemented. Then we will hear from Krzysztof Kudlacz, Senior Software Engineer at iTechArt, on the field of cryptography in .NET.

🎉 iTechMeetup is returning to Gdańsk!

On December 1, join us in-person on the 34th floor of the Olivia Star, the tallest building in the Tri-City.

Axana Skinder, Division Director at iTechArt, will start the event as our first speaker. She began her IT career when Waterfall was at its peak, bringing lots of experience in approaching task estimation from all angles. Axana will talk about the practical approaches that help estimate time frames correctly and finish tasks on time.

Our second guest, Krzysztof Kudlacz, a Senior Software Engineer at iTechArt, is an experienced speaker and a savvy scientist. During his presentation, he'll guide the audience in examining cryptographic practices from the point of view of a .NET developer.

❤️ On the 5th of September, people all over the globe celebrate , a holiday focused on social responsibility.

Over the past month, our iTechArt team contributed to this international celebration. Our colleagues across the globe, including from Minsk and Wroclaw, Lodz, and Warsaw, organized collections for local animal charities to donate necessities for those in need. As a result of our teams' efforts, we filled several boxes of food, toys, detergents, and other essential resources. These donations were brought into the shelters to help abandoned pets. We hope that our contributions inspire and bring awareness to this important holiday.

🎉 We’ve officially settled down in Kazakhstan!

Our team has moved from a coworking to our newest office in the Almaty Towers. The city of Almaty is well known to the local tech community and most of the city's IT companies can be found in this area. Plus, the view is stunning! You can spot the mountains from any of our office windows. It seems like we’re in good company! 😊

🎉 We’ve grown to 100 in Lithuania!

Exciting news from the Lithuanian office: In just several months, we reached the 100-employee milestone, demonstrating rapid growth in the country. Kudos and welcome to everyone new to our team! We can’t wait to see this group grow to 150 and beyond.

🤩 Happy one-year to our Uzbekistan office! At the beginning of October, we hosted an anniversary celebration in Tashkent with over 100 guests. The night was event-filled with a singer, two live bands, a fantastic banquet, and a DJ set to top it all off.

If a photo can tell a thousand words, this night was an entire novel!

💻 Last week, iTechArt premiered on the big screen with its iTechMeetup in Poland, gathering guests at the Lower Silesia Film Centre.

Our speakers and Team Leads — Krzysiek Gonia, Java Technical Lead, and Vitali Kviatkouski, Solutions Architect — served up a double dose of Java to the event attendees with tons of industry insights and best practices.

🤗 Several weeks ago, our team met to discuss Spartacus, a new JavaScript framework library, at an internal dev2dev event. SAP-developed Spartacus is a lean, Angular-based JavaScript storefront for SAP Commerce Cloud that accelerates and facilitates the development of e-commerce projects, working in conjunction with Hybris.

A great time was had by all, and many thanks to Frontend Developer Rustam Liaukouski for the informative presentation!👏

🤗 Last week our Łódź team had a fun gathering to watch the new movie, "Bullet Train!"

On Thursday, 22 team members went to the Silver Screen cinema in Łódź to watch the new action comedy and were treated to a private room booked just for iTechArt members. Take a look at these photos — it truly was a great event!

⛰️ Several weeks ago, we welcomed our second group of New York-based Business Development team members to Uzbekistan! This time, Senior Business Development Manager, Chris Aptacy, and Director of Business Development, Patrick Nogacz, together with his team of Business Development Managers, Tiffanie Ho and Andrew Torrey, made the trek to Tashkent.

During their week-long trip, they experienced the beauty and culture of Uzbekistan to the fullest! They also learned about the government's continued investment into IT and plans to transform Uzbekistan into Central Asia’s premier innovation hub.

🧐 Highlights from their action-packed trip included:

• Visiting IT PARK Uzbekistan, the central technological park of information technologies in Uzbekistan. IT Park has rapid and ambitious growth plans designed to elevate the local startup ecosystem, female entrepreneurship, and tech education.
• Touring Amity University Tashkent and Astrum Academy, where the developers and IT specialists of tomorrow study. With modern classrooms, the latest equipment, and top educators, students hone their technical skills and practice English communication through work on international projects. Amity University boasts a strong curriculum for both Bachelor’s- and Master’s-level students, including a hands-on approach to engineering labs. Meanwhile, ASTRUM Academy impressed the team with its strong peer-to-peer education system and challenging course offering.
• Meeting with colleagues in the Tashkent office, complete with a presentation covering current projects, approach to collaboration, and a Q&A session.
• Journeying to the mountains to enjoy Uzbekistan’s natural beauty.

When asked what impressed them most about Tashkent and Uzbekistan, the team cited:

🥳 Let the games begin! On the last working day of July, our Uzbek team celebrated the end of the month with a fun gathering, playing the game of Mafia. The team sat in a close circle for the fun game and enjoyed several boxes of pizza.

🤩 Three cheers to Yasmina Ablaeva, UI/UX Product Designer, and her team for winning the mGovAward for an app that helps to popularize the Uzbek language among students and young people!

A mobile keyboard for the Uzbek language, the app leverages natural language processing (NLP) to correct, complete, and predict the following words in a sentence. In the finalist round, Yasmina and her team were one of seven teams selected out of 20 — and in the end, they took first place 👏

What's next? The team's plan is to create a web version of the app, which is already in active development. They also have plans to implement punctuation rules and teach the application to correct syntax errors. Eventually, they hope it could be used by government entities to quickly review and correct documents with a click of a button.

🥳 Hooray! We are finally residents of Astana Hub in Kazakhstan, the largest technology park in Central Asia.

We are so happy at the fact that we've been able to grow and develop a new location. And that's not all! We also recently became residents of a second park — High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic.
