Crafting a bold and attention-grabbing statement for PETA, our team fabricated a striking and provocative installation: a dead cow spilling out of a Starbucks cup. Designed for easy travel and high-impact, the installation featured silicone blood mats, enhancing the realism of the message while maintaining a manageable setup. Notably, the creation demanded one of the largest stencils our team has ever produced, underscoring the scale and precision required to execute such a visually impactful and thought-provoking piece. This innovative campaign piece aimed to draw attention to issues surrounding animal welfare within the context of consumer choices, sparking dialogue and reflection.

Have you ever wished you had a giant Funko Pop-inspired statue of yourself? Decimated Designs can make that happen!
For TerrifiCon 2024, we crafted a Captain TerrifiCon Funko Pop-style photo-op statue. Using 3D scans of the Conan O’Brien Superhero and Steve Harrington Stranger Things Funko Pop figures as the base, we designed a 4′ tall statue made of hard-coated foam with a stickered chest logo, 3D printed parts, and a fabric cape. The cape, secured with magnets, detaches to prevent damage if pulled on, while the statue’s feet detach with bolts for easier transport and storage, ensuring both durability and convenience.

We created three hard-coated foam statues for the 78 Dinner Theater representing a cutting-edge blend of technology and artistry. Beginning with the performers, we meticulously 3D scanned every nuance of their expressions, poses, and costumes. These digital scans served as the foundation for the statues, ensuring a lifelike and accurate representation of the characters. The models were then cleaned, edited, and 3D printed as miniature prototypes to present to the client for alterations and approval. These physical models allow the client to assess the details, proportions, and overall aesthetics before the full-scale production of the foam statues began.

Once the client approved the 3D printed maquettes, the intricate process of transforming them into hard-coated foam statues commenced. Blending our CNC machine cutting and skilled foam artisanship, we meticulously sculpted and shaped to match the scanned performers’ dimensions. The foam was then coated with a durable, hard-shell material to enhance longevity and withstand various environmental conditions. This combination of advanced 3D scanning, printing, cutting, and traditional craftsmanship resulted in captivating and durable statues which bring the characters of the 78 Dinner Theater to life, creating an immersive and visually stunning experience for the audience.

Our collaboration with our friends Scared Stiffs LTD on the creation of this Scare-In-A-Box haunted house animatronic introduced an innovative and immersive scare tactic. The intricate design involved a box equipped with strobe lights that seemingly scanned patrons. Upon transitioning to a menacing red hue, the system announced the detection of infection, triggering blaring alarms and an unexpected burst of water aimed at the unsuspecting visitors. This synchronized experience was amplified by the expandable nature of the kit, enabling multiple mini-units to spray simultaneously for a heightened scare factor. The originality extended to the custom video animation, and our meticulous engineering ensured minimal water release, preventing the formation of puddles and contributing to a dynamic and memorable haunted house encounter.

We’ve proudly collaborated with the MOMbies, a charity organization dedicated to funding metastatic breast cancer research.
For their 2019 flash-mob at Fairfield University and the 2024 Mother’s Day 5K, we crafted high-detail photo-op zombies complete with prosthetics and intricate makeup. Additionally, we provided touch-ups and enhancements for the dozens of other participants. To commemorate the events, we designed a custom giant MOMbie-themed photo-op zombie head, adding an extra layer of engagement and fun for attendees while supporting a crucial cause.

Our expertise in crafting oversized confections has left a sweet impression on various events and shows. One notable project involved the creation of giant PEZ candies exclusively for the PEZ Candy company to serve as eye-catching photo-op props at conventions. These larger-than-life replicas delighted attendees, providing a whimsical and interactive experience. The meticulous hard-coated foam construction ensured durability and realism, allowing event-goers to pose with these iconic PEZ candies, creating memorable moments and generating buzz around the PEZ Candy brand.

In addition to the PEZ candies, our team has crafted an array of colossal confections for W***y Wonka and Candyland-themed parties and Mitzvahs. Giant chocolate bars and swirly rainbow lollipops adorned these events, immersing guests in a fantastical world of sweets and treats. The attention to detail in our hard-coated foam replicas contributed to the overall enchanting atmosphere of these themed celebrations.

Our creative touch has even extended to the Retail Confectioners International annual gathering, where we designed and produced oversized photo-op props, including a giant branded artist pallet and brush, rock candy, cupcake, chocolate bars, and a bitten orange creamsicle. These larger-than-life props not only added a playful element to the event but also served as excellent promotional tools for the confectionery industry, showcasing the innovative and imaginative capabilities of our confection-inspired creations.

From a whisker to a 'Scream'! 🔪 🐱
Our journey with the “Copycat Killer” character mask began with sculpting and casting it in latex, serving as a prominent character at Dark Night Halloween World Screampark. The mask has transcended its haunted attraction origins, evolving into a central figure for the upcoming 90’s-style shot-on-video horror movie, “Screamwalkers” from director Sean King, utilizing the second version of the mask designed by Clive Barzilla of Burkbench Designs. In an innovative approach, we utilized 3D scanning technology to capture intricate details from both the original latex mask and its subsequent “V2” vacuformed version, along with the buck instrumental to its creation.

To amplify the excitement around the “Screamwalkers” project, we went a step further and crafted three specialty grunged glow-in-the-dark versions of the iconic mask. These unique creations were strategically employed as part of a promotional raffle, adding an extra layer of engagement and anticipation to the film’s release. Amazingly, the design of the mask is now owned by Fun World (the designers of the original Ghost Face mask used in the movie “Scream”) who utilized the design as an add-on for the game “Dead by Daylight”, and we expect have more plans for future use as well! The evolution of the “Copycat Killer” mask exemplifies our commitment to infusing creativity and innovation into various realms, from haunted attractions to the cinematic world of horror.
