It seems to be time for some reminders; kind and courteous is our rule of thumb here. (St. John’s is in ANTIGUA, St. John is USVI - haha, We are not here to debate whether or not masks are effective, we don’t care whether or not you are vaccinated. The Covid mandates in place on St. Thomas are MANDATES. Not suggestions. The bartender who asks you to put on a mask is not making a political statement. They are trying to protect their livelihood. If you are a person who books a flight knowing the rules and then argues with the poor gate agent when she tells you to put on a mask, then St. Thomas may not be the right destination for you right now.
That being said, St. Thomas is an amazing island. The people are kind and welcoming, but just like everywhere else, you have to treat them with respect. Say “Good Day”, don’t be showing all your bits and pieces if you aren’t on the beach, say “please” and “thank you” and don’t expect the overworked understaffed restaurants (yes, they too are having trouble getting help) to serve you quickly. Have a drink and relax.

We are also offering a military discount to guests who have served. We will be extending this discount to police officers and nurses who serve this country during this crazy time. Cheers.
