When we are newly bereaved, often our loved ones see us in the pain and heartache of losing our babies and just want us to get better, feel better, go back to "normal", and re-engage with life again in the way we used to do. They often rush us through our grief because it is painful to see us in the depth of our sadness, and they ache for us to move on. But as bereaved parents, we know that we will never be the same after losing our baby. There is no "moving on". There is no rush to "get back to normal" because we know we that we have been irrevocably changed by deep love and devastating loss.
What we often need and want more than anything is patience from our loved ones: patience while we wade through our grief, patience as we take time to process our new reality and adjust to life without our babies, and patience as we become the people we need to be as we move into a life that is so vastly different than the one we had anticipated. It takes time to grieve, time to heal, time to understand how to be parents to a child we could not keep and cannot hold. We may disengage for a time, choose to stay back from family holidays and baby showers, and grieve and heal in a timeline different than what others would expect. And that is okay.
It is often uncomfortable and challenging to wait for us: but the effort to support us and love us through this tremendous loss is one of the ways we heal. Be patient with us; we are becoming.

How the Busines was Born
In May 2019, I hosted a 1 year life celebration for my father who passed away May 29, 2018. I created shadow boxes of his military possessions and fatigue uniform jacket. He was a proud veteran who served his country. My father only missed 1 military reunion due to major illness. This led me to display other aspects of his through photos and personal items. My friends and family stated, “You should make this into a business.” I replied, “ I suppose it could be.” It was confirmed that I was to turn this into a business to help others celebrate the life lost loved ones and important life events. It was the start of a healing process to plan and do my father’s memorial service. My heart is open to learning your stories capturing “moments in time” creating a keepsake to begin to begin a healing in the heart.
The loss of the loved ones impacts me. I lost my step-mother who fought cancer for almost 10 years in 2008. My mother passed away suddenly in 2010. My father passed away 2018. My grandmother passed away in 2019. These losses will always have an effect on me. I choose to celebrate their lives by living my best life and helping others. I choose to follow in their footsteps to cherish life and help others.
Who am I? I am a single mom of two adult children and one grand baby. I love my family so much. I am blessed to get to know more of my family spending more time with them. I’ve been able to travel more recently so visiting family is at the top of my list. I do everything I can to help my family. This carries over into my work experience to care for others. My experiences include a preschool teacher, mental health paraprofessional, special education paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional (home health care), and youth director. All of these enabled to transform into who I am today. I have impacted many lives with the hearts desire to continue impacting others. I love being creative. My scrapbooking started in 2005. I love to write poetry and short stories. I am now learning about photography.
