There was a deep gouge on the top this silver leafed bank of drawers with a gold iridescent finish that shined gold or silver depending on which angle you’re looking. Not a scratch… it was a 1/8”to 3/16” gouge. The client didn’t want me to refinish the top because they just sold the house “As Is.” If any of you understand metallic iridescent finishes, 99.9% of gouges on furniture tops require refinishing the clear coats for uniformity…
So they asked for a miracle.
Can you see where the 2 1/2” long gouge was?
