It's important that all drone operators stay grounded and out of the way of firefighting operations in the fire zone!

Attention Drone Owners and Operators:

Florida State Statute 806.10 states that it is a third degree felony to interfere in any way with a firefighter. This includes interference of firefighting air support.

Air support will not fly if drones are within five miles of the fire. This is a critical safety concern because the fire support aircraft fly at very low levels.

Manned aviation always has the right of way and drone interference can be fatal.

All drone operators including hobbyists must obey FAA safety guidelines that include remaining well clear of and not causing interference to manned aircraft operations, not flying in reduced visibility and ensuring the operating environment is safe.
