I just finished playing “On My Way to You” by Cody Johnson. Been playing it for years and still one of my favorites to play, bc he’s a beast lol.
A woman comes up w tears in her eyes and says “That was my late husband’s favorite song and I asked God to give me a sign today. Thank you so much.”
I didn’t know what to say, as I had absolutely no way of knowing anything like that.
So I put my guitar down, gave her a hug, and thanked her for sharing such a beautiful insight.
Sometimes you’re just playing a gig bc it’s your job, and sometimes you’re being used for much bigger purposes.
What an absolute privilege Music is and has been in my Life 🙏

In a week and a half from today I leave to fly up to Charleston WV to play the show w Garden Park at Live at “The Shop” October 5.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to not only play some tunes for folks but most importantly to see and hug all of you that I can.
This is gonna be a fantastic time 🙏

Just want to take a moment to say how thankful I am for how well gigs have been goin lately.
