Survival and Rescue opportunity!!! This is a limited class that is not going to be offered at every Fire Department each year. This is going to be more on a quarterly basis. This is a great opportunity to get this class for your Basic Firefighter 1.
Survival and Rescue Class at Columbia Fire Department. Classroom will be October 28, 2023 at 08:30 CST and Skills will be October 29, 2023 at 08:30 CST. Class will be located at 200 Merchant Street, Columbia, KY. Please see Google form link to sign up.

UPDATE WEST 80 @ triangle restaurant is back open.
Avoid west highway 80 at triangle restaurant road is completely closed due to a tractor trailer accident traffic will be rerouted to Amy lane and 196.

It’s back-to-school time, and the buses will be rolling. Please use caution in areas with children. Here are some reminders about when to STOP for a school bus!
- 2 LANE ROADWAY - When the school bus stops for passengers, all traffic from both directions must stop.
- 2 LANE ROADWAY + CENTER TURN When school bus stops for passengers, all traffic from both directions must stop.
- 4 LANE ROADWAY NO MEDIAN SEPARATION When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
- 4 LANES + DIVIDED HIGHWAY + MEDIAN SEPARATION When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
- 4 LANES + ROADWAY + CENTER TURN When a school bus stops for passengers, only traffic following the bus must stop.
