[04/08/20]   Work from Home Tips 💻Transitioning to working from home comes with its own challenges (new distractions, cleaning/multitasking, others in the home and finding boundaries) but here are some tips to help your health and productivity despite those new barriers 💪
1️⃣HAVE A MORNING ROUTINE (AKA Get Dressed)- Starting the day as if you were still getting up to go to the office can help to set your mental state for the day!
2️⃣PRIORITIZE YOUR DAY- List out what needs to be done, and what can be saved for later.
3️⃣CREATE BOUNDARIES- Create a comfortable clean area (don’t forget that posture!) where you are able to separate ‘life space’ from ‘workspace’. Set ‘work hours’ with those in your household to help increase your productivity and also establish a log-off time to ‘leave the office’!
4️⃣ TAKE BREAKS - You may feel too busy for this, but it is essential for your health! Take a break from the screen by mindfully nourishing your body, take a quick walk or stretch, grab a cup or coffee/refill your water bottle, enjoy recess time with the kids or have a conversation with your partner.
5️⃣ KEEP HEALTHY SNACKS ON HAND- Keep tabs on that elephant and stay aligned with your goals with portioned out snacks as easy access to food and temptations to avoid fog eating while working.
6️⃣ KEEP IN TOUCH- While the company of your furry office assistant can boost your mood, try syncing with some friends or co-workers on Facetime/Zoom or join a virtual workout group to maintain your social health!

[01/02/20]   I was fighting something that already happened. A battle that was over. And that was preventing me from fighting the battle that was here.

I needed to surrender fully and accept radically the situation I found myself in, despite not wanting to be in said situation.

So I took my gloves off. I raised my white flag. I leaned in to reality. And in turn, I started to work with it and through it.

Completely and totally accepting a situation -- from the depths of my body, mind, and spirit. It's hard.
It hurts.
I hate it.
It's not fair.

But it is.

And the acceptance of what is will cause me a lot less suffering than the thought that it shouldn't be. Radical acceptance takes 2 things: time and practice.

Accepting where I’m at doesn't mean I am opting out of action. Instead, I am saying yes to what is to make space for what I want to be.

As I accept the situation, radically, I can start to…IMPROVE the moment.

* O - one thing in the moment
* V - vacation
* E - encouragement

-Important for weight loss
-Without water, we easily become dehydrated, which leads to headaches🥴, irritation, and possibly fainting. Also a major cause for that “hangover” feeling.....

Most Americans aren't getting enough water! For most people, upping your water intake isn't so easy. Here are 7 creative ways to help you increase your water intake:

Wake up and water: First thing in the morning, polish off a large glass of water. Not only will you kickstart your water intake, but it's a great way to rehydrate after a long night's sleep.
Reduce, reuse, recycle: Out of sight, out of mind. Keep water on your mind by carrying a reusable water bottle with you throughout the day.
Take a break: Replace your traditional morning coffee break with a water break!
Serve it as a side: Make it a point to serve (and finish!) a glass of water with each meal and snack.
Warm it up: Hydrate with a cup of herbal tea or hot water and lemon.
Get fresh: Fruits and vegetables are a great source of water! Some water-packed superstars include watermelon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe. Aim to get 5-10 servings of vegetables and fruit per day to help keep you hydrated.
Flavor up: Flavor your water fresh squeezed lemons and limes, a handful of berries, or a splash of 100% juice.
Sparkle and shine: For a nice treat, enjoy a glass of sparkling or seltzer water.
