After this weekend's heat wave ends, it cools off briefly Tuesday and Wednesday before the heat builds back in for Thursday and the following weekend.

Rain chances return for the following weekend after a brief spell of drier days during midweek.

Sunday will be ANOTHER scorcher. HEAT ADVISORY is again in effect for the entire area. It'll be oppressively hot and humid with highs well into the 90s inland.

Once temperatures reach their peaks, scattered storms are likely. Like yesterday, these storms will have plenty of energy to work with thanks to the afternoon's heat so they can be locally intense.

Not even 12:00pm yet and we're already seeing 100° heat indices.

An earthquake off the coast of Cuba has caused tremors to be felt all over parts of the Florida peninsula, including Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota and more. There is NO Tsunami threat with this quake. You barely ever hear about quakes near Florida!
