RISE: Resist Inform Support Empower
A few passionate individuals using our voices to support safer communities, raise awareness, and advocate for change.
We are not an organization or movement - just people who care deeply about helping others and making a difference.

What Is Coercive Control?
Coercive control isn’t always physical violence. It can look like isolation from friends and family, monitoring phone calls and messages, controlling finances, constant criticism, threats, intimidation, or making someone feel afraid to make their own decisions.
Many survivors say the emotional and psychological abuse lasted long before any physical violence occurred.
That’s why awareness and education matter.
This has been your Mica Minute. Together we RISE: Resist. Inform. Support. Empower.
💜 Mica’s Legacy Monday
What Mica’s Legacy Teaches Us
A legacy isn’t defined by how someone died.
It’s defined by the impact they leave behind.
The conversations they inspire.
The lives they touch.
The lessons that continue long after they’re gone.
Mica’s story reached people around the world.
But her legacy is bigger than the headlines.
It’s the reminder that relationships should be safe.
Churches should be safe.
Communities should be safe.
And when someone finds the courage to speak, they deserve to be heard.
Most stories never receive the attention Mica’s did.
That’s why we must learn to recognize the red flags, listen with compassion, and create spaces where people feel safe to ask for help.
Today, we honor Mica by carrying forward the lessons her life continues to teach.
We are her voice.
We are Mica Strong.
Together, we RISE.
Resist. Inform. Support. Empower.

This may be the final post in the series, but it is not the end of the conversation.
🔹Keep listening.
🔹Keep learning.
🔹Keep believing survivors.
Thank you to everyone who read, shared, prayed, reflected, and stood with us through these 33 days.
If even one person felt seen, validated, or less alone… then her voice continues to matter. 💜
“I thought I was reading my own journal.”
Those words were shared after a follower read a Mica’s voice post.
That is why Mica’s list deserves to continue to be heard.
Her story has helped others recognize their own experiences, find the words to tell their stories, and know they are not alone.
Every voice deserves to be heard. Every story matters.
And that is why we need Mica’s Law- not only to honor Mica’s voice, but to help protect others and ensure more voices are heard before it is too late.
