Wow didnt even realize I stopped posting my day off kicks. This was right before last year’s mlb playoffs, I was HEAVILY EMOTIONALLY Invested as a padres fan. I just remember for that stretch of the postseason I was wearing all my playoffs Jordans. Starting with the AJ retro 1 “shadow” 2013. Im gonna try to restart this series again.

5 years still doesn’t feel real.

Yesterday’s day off on feet. Air Jordan retro 1 “Royal” High 2017. After wearing these I really should wear my AJ1s more, I personally want to add some more lows in my collection, maybe after I downsize.

First New mix in 3 years up on mixcloud. This mix was inspired by breaking being in the Olympics, I had also been listening to a lot of boom bap so it was a no brainer for me to finally hit the record button.

Day off on feet. Jam. Super clean, really comfortable, zero break in time. They held up pretty good in practice, my legs were pretty tired since I trained them in the gym earlier in the day. The cushion did help with some impact absorption, I just wish there was an zoom air unit in the forefoot.

The first shoe designed for Breakin. When announced that they made a shoe for breakers prior to the Olympic games, I was ecstatic! Im a B-boy AND im a sneaker enthusiast! Finally a shoe for us! Even though we’ve adopted classics like the adidas superstar, pro-keds royal, and puma suedes as the go-to breakin shoes. Nike and collaborated to combine modern tech to the evolving art form or breakin.

I LOVE the overall design of the shoe, it reminds me of the nike air zoom spiridon. The wide base looks like it would improve stability during top rocks and landing from doing air tricks. My favorite feature is the drop in mid sole, a feature I first experienced with the kobe 8, however I would have LOVED it if a forefoot zoom air unit was put in. The advantage of having a drop in midsole vs a traditional foam midsole is increased flexibility and “court feel” meaning low to the ground. The disadvantage with these foam drop in midsoles, theres always the chance that they bottom out before the shoe is done. I don’t think nike specified what foam is used, but its definitely not the same lunar foam from the kobe 8-11, much more dense.

For $120 I think its a decent price point, youre getting modern shoe technology in a clean silhouette. Im gonna dance in these, im waiting for a sale. These definitely have thd potential to be a go-to casual wear. More color ways please

Day off on feet. Air Jordan 11 low “UNC” 2017. Its still summer damnit! Havent worn these in a while, partly because I dont want to ruin them, and mostly because I just have too many shoes (I really should downsize). Enjoy the last couple weeks of summer yall!

day 24. Happy KOBE Day! Kobe xi “eulogy”. I really wanted to end the project on court, unfortunately EōS Temecula had theirs closed. This year was probably the most challenging for this project, my cardio and conditioning arent where I would like for it to be at 37, so thats what ill be working on and making it part if my workouts now with breaking included.

KOBE DAY! Get out there, put some work in. Lets all get better today than we were yesterday!
