The credit cards run were $915 total for some of the shirts and auction items, $1,010 cash from the auction and 20% of our sales was $548.40 but we rounded up to $550 so the total amount raised yesterday was $2,475.00 on our books. The Bandy family reported they made $500 in T-shirt sales and $480 in Bake Sale Profits for a Grand Total of $3,455 raised in ONE SINGLE DAY! We have such an AMAZING community! Mom and Dad celebrated my birthday by taking me to get a puppuccino at our favorite coffee shop. The owners of Rare Bird Emporium made sure I got an extra helping of whipped cream, and they came out to the car to wish me a happy birthday.
It's so great to be loved.
Since thereās still quite a bit to do on the house, our only āfunā were the daily runs to for more supplies and our stops at Rare Bird Emporium for my puppuccino. I did get to meet a lot more new friends, especially Saturday, as everyone seemed to be in town that day.
Murphy was filled with tourists and visitors as it celebrated on the Third. One of the main roads in town was blocked off for an extended farmers market/crafts fair. There were people everywhere. Iām surprised they all found parking, but I think a lot of them had to hike a bit from their cars. At least it was a beautiful day, with temps in the upper 70s ā my favorite ride weather.
Murphy and a few other towns had fireworks on the Third, while several other towns and private parties shot them off on the Fourth. We got to watch them all from the comfort of our living room. I had to bark a few times to give Mom and Dad a noise warning. I donāt think they truly appreciate my warnings, but, hey, itās for their own good.
A graduate of Ringling School of Arts in Sarasota, FL, her portraitures are so lifelike, they look like a photograph! But she can also see the whimsy in everyday objects.
