This morning, I had the pleasure of meeting with Charlie McLaughlin from the University of Pittsburgh!

Almost my entire staff are Pitt alumni - and current Pitt student Tiernan understood the assignment and were his Pitt gear today!

It was great to chat about the wonderful things going on Pitt:

- 76,000 admission applications last year!
- Four amazing regional campuses that now offer free tuition for any student whose family makes less than $75K
- World-class programs adapting to the needs of the 21st century workforce!

So proud to be an alum of this amazing university and to bring a strong supporter of public higher education in PA! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I had a wonderful time today at the Lebo Coalition Juneteenth Jubilee! It was great to gather with the community to celebrate freedom and acknowledge the continued work we all have to do to protect civil rights, promote equity, and fight for social justice.

It’s a BEAUTIFUL day for Pride in Mt. Lebanon!

I joined County Executive Sara Innamorato to welcome the crowd — it was great to see so many residents and organizations out in full force to celebrate our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors.

Our team popped up in Baldwin Township for a bit… before the thunder & lightning came back for a second round! ⛈️⚡️

I am so saddened about these two tragic fires in Dormont and Castle Shannon last night. Very grateful for the excellent work of our career and volunteer fire companies who work tirelessly to protect our communities.

House Bill 1678, a digital advertising tax that would make the biggest corporations pay their fair share to do business in the Commonwealth, advanced through the House today. I co-sponsored this legislation because this would modernize our gross receipt tax for the digital age, bringing in more revenue while standing up to tech giants that dominate our digital spaces.
