JB has been falling over himself touting his record ahead of his presidential run. He's in la la land while Illinoisans are living in the real world: 44th in economy, 34th in cost of living, 38th in business friendliness.

Remember schools currently can set up voter registration for students - this bill would require them to do it. I’m always for local control.

“Republican state Rep. Bill Hauter, representing an area between Peoria, Bloomington-Normal and Decatur, opposed the bill. He said parents need to be involved in the process, and it is an unfunded mandate.

Hauter said the decision should be left to schools on whether they want to prioritize registering students to vote.”
