New River Custom Builders, the Historic Old Hotel’s General Contractor, continue their seven-year streak of being voted Best Contractor and Best Home Builder in Ashe County.

NRCB is making steady progress bringing the West Jefferson Hotel back to its former glory. Restoring an important Landmark to exacting US Park Service historic preservation standards is technically challenging. It’s a job that requires big scale structural and mechanical repair combined with an unusual attention to finishing detail.

The hotel restoration is the fourth project Greg Testerman and his men have done for the Beck Family. One of my favorite business sayings is “Quality Is Only Met Through Precision”. NRCB work standards are a living example of this. It is the reason we continue to hire them each time we need something built in the High Country.

These things, done right, makes this team a winner. It is what it takes to deliver a notable restoration of this unique historic property, which is being cheered by Ashe citizens and preservationists throughout the state.
