Brought in to assess a huge power loss on the port engine. Spark plugs can always tell a story so when Tony Stone pulled them and read them, he called me and said “no boom 2 cylinders” Compression good ✅ Spark test good ✅ Time to pull the injectors and send them out. Zoom in and see these two plugs have never fired fuel….

Received a set of Yamaha outboard engine fuel injectors in for flow testing and cleaning service. This engine was running low on power and had an intermittent miss. As you can see, three of the injectors have restricted flow that we can fix with cleaning and filter replacement. For service visit RaceCityInjector.com

Thanks to Pat Jolley at Carbon Fuel Services out of Cherryville who brought his team and equipment out for the last step of a repair job due to phase separation and water in one tank. They pumped a fuel tank full of crap today using Pneumatic pumps for safety and totally professional! Pumped out about 120 gals (was supposed to be 85) and cleaned everything up. We then waddled the cruisers 415 over to the gas dock, filled the tank with fresh fuel, bled the system, fired off the port engine and finally got the test run in. Went out on two, came in on two, and she ran beautifully in between! This was a long time coming as we had to do injector cleaning, fuel pump replacement and new lines and valves due to deterioration.
It was a good day!

Hilborn Fuel Injection

To our friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we tell you of the passing of Stuart Hilborn. Stuart was 96 when he left us earlier this morning.

Stuart’s passion for racing and speed led him to invent the constant flow mechanical fuel injector. Shunned by his peers, he refined the design to be the first to propel a race car over the magical 150mph mark at the dry lakes. Hilborn fuel injectors went on to dominate the Indianapolis 500 and then any racing venue that required maximum speed with an internal combustion engine.

Stuart is survived by his wife Ginny of 60 years, along with his daughter Edris and his son Duane, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Stuart’s wit, charisma and passion will be truly missed and arrangements will be passed along.
