Well tribe, my journey in "The People's Artist" Contest has officially come to an end. 🖤
I finished in 9th place in my group and did not advance to the next round.
Of course, I would have loved to keep going, but I'm just happy I took the chance in the first place. Entering the contest pushed me outside my comfort zone but reminded me that sometimes the biggest victory is simply showing up.
Thank you to everyone who voted, shared my page, encouraged me, and followed along in this adventure. Your support meant more than you know.❣️
From my heart to yours, Nessa loves you!🫶💞

I'm not really sure how to feel or what to say right now, but I know I'm truly blessed for all the love and support these past 2 weeks. ☺️
I never really thought of myself as an artist. I've always been painfully shy, but this contest helped push me out of my comfort zone and have fun in the midst. I've also loved getting to see all the wonderful and amazing artists out there and inspiring creativity. So much beauty my friends. 😌✨
I've made the top 20 in my group. At first I didn't understand how this contest worked... To be honest, I'm still a little confused. But I try to look at the bright side of things. I entered into groups supporting artists and we are all bravely sharing our art with the world. And to me, that's pretty darn cool.
I have successfully made it round two because of all of YOU! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!! I am currently in 6th place and this round ends May 21st at 7pm. The next goal is to make it to at least the top 15 in my group. Every day is new day to vote. And I'm planning something special if I make it to 1st place in my group. Help me make it to numero ono my squad! 😁🫶
Always much love,
Nessa 😘

Goooood morning, Starshines! 🌞♥️
Well… here we are. Into the final hours of voting, and I am currently sitting at 7th place in the People’s Artist Contest.
I had no idea what to expect when I hit submit on my application. Honestly, I was just proud of myself for not letting fear stop me.
This competition has been… interesting and unique. I'm truly grateful and blessed for the opportunity and support these past few days. And no matter what happens, this has already been a win to me. I conquered a fear, hit submit, and this week alone brought my art page new followers, new connections, and reminded me that people actually believe in what I do. That means more than placing #1 ever could.
✨✨If you’d like to support me in these final hours, you can cast your last daily vote through my Facebook link (link found in Bio) before voting closes today May 14th, 7:00pm PDT.
And even bigger than voting… if you’d share my art page and help more people discover my work, that would mean the world to me. 😌✨
Thank you to every single person who voted, shared, encouraged me, or simply believed in me enough to pause and click.
💞Thank you for being part of this wild little art adventure with me. Love, Nessa. 💞

Hello there, friends and family!
Just a little reminder that I’m in the People’s Artist Contest! Voting is still open, and you can vote once every 24 hours until May 14th!
Cast your daily free vote or make an even greater impact by voting via donations.
Registering as a competitor, I didn't know about the donation part until voting day opened. After the fact, and receiving donated votes, I had to look more into this because I'm more into free votes rather than purchasing anything. And also, I didn't necessarily find that part fair, but what I found out is actually pretty cool! The People’s Artist competition, presented by Johnny Depp, is fundraising for The Art of Elysium. This is "a nonprofit organization that uses creativity as a catalyst for healing and connection. Founded in 1997, The Art of Elysium has paired volunteer artists with communities in Los Angeles to support individuals facing difficult emotional life challenges such as illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and crisis."
Now, this seems right up my alley and dear to my heart! 😍 Years of combating my own personal mental health challenges is exactly what got me into painting in the first place and why I still do it to this day.
So, this competition is a double win! Empowering artists and giving back through community and art… Oh, now that’s close to my heart!
All to say, to my friends and family that voted via donations, this is where your donations are going to. You not only supported your girl, you also supported a good cause! 👏🏆
To everyone that has voted for ya girl: Thank you so much for all the love and support! Every single vote, share, and kind message has meant so much! It truly means more to me than I can put into words. Kinda makes me want to go paint...riiight now. 😏😉
Thank you for being part of this journey with me! Much love from my heart to yours!❤️
P.s. Don't forget to cast your daily vote today! 😁

Good afternoon, family and friends! ❤️
So, I did a thing… and might I add, what an awesome day for this thing to begin! (May the fourth be with you!)
I’m excited (and a little nervous 😬) to share with you all that I’ve entered the People’s Artist Contest!
It would mean so much to me to have your vote.
Art has been a huge part of my healing and personal journey. Putting my art out there hasn’t always been easy for me. Especially, when you hear comments like, “your art is not art.” Sharing my pieces has always felt a little awkward. For a long time, I didn’t even like calling myself an artist.
But through this journey, I’ve come to realize: maybe I’ve never had formal training, and maybe "my art" seems a little silly, but it has helped me in so many ways moving forward. And maybe, just maybe, it can bring joy to others too… So why not share it?
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, encouraging me, and supporting my silly art. If you’d like to vote for me, you can check out my profile, share, and vote here:
Much love from my heart to yours! ❤️

It's different, and it's been a while. Almost a year. And I could tell when painting this that I've gotten rusty. I tried to make something very dear look magical, but this is about as magical as it gets. But here it is the newest creation.
I call it "Legacy."
Edit:
I have to mention, since I was just asked, this one is not for sale. It was for a birthday present for a wonderful man named, David. Happy birthday, David!
