This salad was delicious but their house ranch dressing with just a hint of dill...just made the salad unforgettable.
The bacon was crisp and the cantaloupe was an unexpected treat, for this low carber.

This was authentic.
The beans were homemade, the rice tasted like the Spanish rice i remember eating as a kid..the quick and fast kind that my mom would make when she didn't have time to saute diced onions and tomatoes.
The chili colorado was good. It wasnt at all spicy, not like my mother makes it but it was good.
This tasted like the dinner that gets served at every cousin's Quinceanera.
One down side is that its over priced for what's actually being served but I'll eat at Taqueria Cardenas again when i feel homesick for home cooked Mexican food.
Trying a new place today.
Who's in the mood for Mexican food?
Interesting menu...
I've never seen Gyros on the menu under sandwiches....in a Mexican food restaurant.
But Where are the tortas?🤔

A hidden gem in the Downtown Modesto area.
The Queen Bean Coffee House located at 1126 14th street is a treasure hidden downtown. From it's comfortable lounge, to its covered porch and backyard wood deck patio. We only stopped by for a quick lemonade but after looking at the menu we will definitely be back.

Today's lunch was from Tokyo Express.
I ordered the Yaki Udon from the Japanese side of the menu which came with Miso.
The menu description said "noodles, vegetables and steak. "
Well there were noodles, there was definitely steak but the dish had all of 5 florets of broccoli, some slivers of onions and 1piece of slice green pepper.
While the service was amazing, i found the dish salty and the miso watered down.
