NIV Philippians 4:4-5 says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” Visited this one too...The Message 4-5 Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!

My mom brought beautiful flowers for me to arrange for my sister in law’s beautiful table as ‘thank you’ for hosting. Saturday after Thanksgiving I changed the water in each of the three arrangements and thought it would be a good time to share how I built them. For a family dinner table, I like to keep arrangements low so you can see loved ones across from you. Working in 3s, triangles, and one square with the flower material gives layered fullness and a pretty view all the way around. I like a looser, softer look personally so the greenery in three different materials appeals to me. The roses are the star of the show and complimented by the hypericum berries and different textures. A simple, low, glass “bowl” was the perfect vessel and you can use bowls or cups from your China pattern...or a thrifted find too. I think a brass bowl would be a pretty option too. Flower arrangements are absolutely something you can do! Local friends, keep me in mind for your intimate gatherings or special occasion, I’d love to do something beautiful for you and your home.
*If you have a large event and aren’t sure what to do with the flower arrangements after your celebration...I love to deconstruct large arrangements and design smaller ones to deliver to local nursing homes and/ministries. Keep that in mind too!
