Keep Water Working
MAWSS is working to Keep Water Working by updating Mobile's water and wastewater infrastructure to bring them into the 21st century!
Old infrastructure can result in loss of service, business disruptions, traffic problems due to repair work, sewer overflows, and much more. MAWSS doesn't want that to happen. That's why we address issues before they appear down the road!

In 1991 a rule was passed by the EPA to protect customers from complications of lead and copper contaminants in drinking water.
The rule states that systems must monitor drinking water at customer taps. If concentrations of lead or copper exceed the action levels, steps need to be taken to protect from corrosion and inform the public of ways to protect their health.
We are working to clear lines of all discolored water!

Just like you, chickens need water. Without it, they can’t regulate their temperature for laying eggs. No water = no eggs! 💦🥚
