This paper shopping bag is from Carl's Grocery Store.
Carl's Grocery was founded in San Antonio in 1950 by Carl Waitz Sr., who relocated the store to Mission in 1961. At its peak, Carl's had seven stores and over 1,000 employees. Their signature slogan was "The Little Guy in the Valley." Due to competition from larger retailers, Carl's closed their doors in the late 1990s.
