We are just weeks away from the election. We encourage you to invite your loved ones to join you at the polls - and - to discover additional ways to support your community to Get Out The Vote. A few examples include: drive people to and from the polling place, provide food and beverages at community meet-up locations, give money to local organizations getting out the vote, phone bank, text bank, write postcards, post on your social media, and door knock. What other ways or organizations are you engaging in this election cycle? Please share your ideas with us!

Join us on October 1st to talk about philanthropy. We will be guided by two great leaders in our community; Reverend Dr. Alika P. Galloway is co-pastor at Liberty Community Church, PCUSA, creative visionary and co-founder of the Northside Healing Space, and founder of the 21st Century Academy. Michelle Martin is a racial justice strategist with a focus on changing systems to better support communities where race and poverty interest. She is currently working with Liberty Community Church supporting the launch of HomePlace, their African American birth justice center. Come to be inspired leave with a plan how you can become an engaged change maker!

The Social Venture Partners MN YouthSparks Ideas competition is for young people ages 12- 24 years old. We are looking for innovative ideas that will have a positive social impact on the community. How will your idea make the world a better place?

There are two age categories, 12-18 and 19-24. There will be 4 winners, two from each age group.
Applications must include:
A 500 words of less description of your idea.
A short video explaining how your SPARK will make the world a brighter place.
DUE: September 1, 2024

Each winner will receive a check for $500 for their idea, which will be handed out at our annual Together for Good event on April 17th. In addition to attending our SVP Together for Good Event in April, all applicants and winners are invited to attend MN Cup on September 16th.

It is true. We are accepting applications until August 2nd. Go ahead and share your ideas. We are looking for good ideas and we know YOU have them. Start thinking about an innovative idea you would want to share with others. This could be a program, a product, a service or another activity that will help create positive change. We are looking for ideas from youth in the Twin Cities Metro Area to share their great ideas! The application should not take long, be sure to check it out!
