Dr. Abdelsayed earned his MD in 2023 from South Valley University, Egypt, with a strong passion for cardiology. After completing the USMLE, he joined the Magdy Yacoub Heart Foundation, where he received a Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award from the AHA and a Travel Grant from the ESC-HFA while leading and coauthoring multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field. Jason brings a wealth of experience not only as a nurse but expertise in health coaching, particularly for individuals with cardiac concerns. He is the Founder and Lead Coach at Digman Health and Performance, where he has been developing exercise programs and managing a health-focused podcast. His most recent background was as a Registered Nurse at Abbott Northwestern and North Memorial Health Hospitals which has equipped him with extensive knowledge in providing individualized, holistic nursing care for patients with various cardiac conditions in the ICU. Welcome to Fernando Santiago, MD, PhD, MSc who recently joined the Heart Rhythm Team as a Senior Scientist. 👏 Dr. Santiago is a molecular biologist with expertise in aging, neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and stem cell biology. He comes from a medical family, with his father being a cardiothoracic surgeon and former Chief of Ambulatory Medicine at the Atlanta VA Hospital, and his niece is preparing to enter her residency.
