Here are the "Deets"
SMASH Milwaukee starts with a bang at NorthSouth Club on February 9th and will feature an invigorating night of shuffleboard.

SMASH Chicago kicks off March 1st at SPIN, with the tried-and-true ping pong tournament centering as the main attraction for the evening.

All teams are encouraged to pre-register and state their chosen charity before the night starts, as all tournament proceeds will be awarded to the first and second-place teams' chosen charities. Not only will teams battle for a chance at victory and prize money, but they'll also compete for the coveted "Team Spirit Award." This award celebrates those teams with enthusiasm and a creative flare - think costumes, team names, and more! Even if you're not playing in the tournament, there are still plenty of fun activities and entertainment, such as delicious food, drinks, and good company.

The pandemic of 2020 has changed our understanding of so many ‘truths.’ As such, we may be feeling a lot less ‘in control.’ The novel nature of this situation has understandably resulted in increased stress, insecurity, and doubt. We need to acknowledge this reality and work to build resiliency. We also need to feel safe.

Psychological safety is essential to the creation of an environment that holistically supports employee health and well-being. Health and safety considerations are rising in importance, alongside our continued considerations for cost, team cohesion, and productivity.

Henricksen is excited to announce that our A+D Market Manager, Taylor Morgan, has obtained her Fitwel Ambassador certification. With this certification, Taylor can help our industry partners and clients create healthier spaces that promote wellness and productivity.

As a Fitwel Ambassador, Taylor is equipped to provide clients with the guidance and support necessary to promote health and well-being. The education behind this designation allows her to discuss and advocate for strategies, products, and solutions affecting community health and well-being, morbidity and absenteeism, social equity, healthy foods, occupant safety, and promotion of movement and physical activity. These factors contribute to happier, healthier, and more productive members of a workplace or community as a whole. Through Taylor’s knowledge and advocacy, organizations can demonstrate their commitment to employees, community members, health and wellness through healthier practices and by obtaining a Fitwel certification for their building project.

We at Henricksen believe working together to strengthen our communities is a priority. Special thanks to our Henricksen teams for their ongoing efforts to make a difference in their local communities.

Last month was our month of giving, where our team took time out of the workday to volunteer.

Here's what we accomplished:

⭐️ Feed My Starving Children
The Itasca office coordinated two community outreach opportunities in December, with the local chapter to package 247 boxes of food that will provide 53,352 meals.

⭐️Blessings in a Backpack
The Brookfield team packed 1700 bags for children in the Waukesha school district, so they had food during the holiday break.

⭐️ Second Harvest Foodbank
The Madison team gave time to prepare food for distribution throughout our 16-county service area in southwestern Wisconsin. We donated 28 hours as a group with the equivalent value of up to 1,463 meals.

It was great to connect and serve together.

As we reflect on the highlights from this past year, we want to thank our clients, partners, and employees. The success of many projects, new partnerships, and employee team-building opportunities have made this a fantastic year.
