John Frane, design principal with HGA, has been selected as a judge for ARCHITECT magazine’s 2024 Architecture and Interiors Awards. Healthcare Design provides a first look at the new surgical and critical care facility at Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital. The project re-envisions the hospital’s campus and will offer much needed space for additional beds and interventional procedures. HGA worked with hospital staff and on a design that opens the campus to the surrounding community, using new entrances and a welcoming arrival garden. Constructed with Mortenson. Archinect features the top green projects and sustainability innovations of 2023, with highlights focusing on decarbonization, successful applications of sustainability principles, material research, and policy implementation. Quick Take with Kyle Weisman Kyle Weisman, AIA, NCARB, is a Principal at HGA in the healthcare practice. Since joining the firm in 2013, he has led interdisciplinary teams on multiple healthcare projects and has established expertise in Lean project delivery and prefabricated construction.

The Child, Adolescent, and Adult Behavioral Health Services Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center will be the first Santa Clara County-operated inpatient facility specifically for children and adolescents in need of behavioral health services.
