Our Story
Making a modern utopia out of previously owned furnishings. If you’ve gone shopping lately for new furnishings, you may have noticed the high prices many big box stores are asking for mass produced furnishings. Furnishings, that most likely have been made cheaply overseas with a shelf life of 3-5 years before deteriorating in some way. That repurchasing cycle is what almost all big box stores rely on to stay in business.
At Omforme, we prefer contribute to an eco-friendly, circular economy by restyling older furnishings into a new existence. It takes, hard work, creativity and a whole lot of design experience to turn furniture into coveted works of art. In our vision, it is the right thing to do to start saving our beautiful planet from further destruction. We save roughly 15,000 pounds of furnishings and excess building materials from landfills annually.
What makes us stand apart?
Our creative process starts with finding the right iconic older pieces in need of a little love. Years of design expertise goes into each piece to bring out the hidden beauty within; either through our eyes or customization for you. It’s been proven that older furnishings are built with quality materials and techniques not likely to be reproduced in today’s market. As a result, our process of rediscovery with every piece lasts longer and costs less for more style than you’ll find at a big box store.
