It was a record-breaking summer in Minneapolis! Between Memorial Day and Labor Day this year, hotels in Minneapolis recorded new post-pandemic highs for summer occupancy, room demand and room revenue.

🏨 Nearly 680,000 hotel rooms were sold during the summer, an increase of more than 8% from 2023. Guest room revenue this summer increased more than 18% to $131.8 million.

📈 The summer was capped by more than 223,500 hotel rooms sold in August – the most since August 2019. In addition, the occupancy rate this August was 70.2% – the highest since October 2019.

"This past summer was a standout season for Minneapolis,” said Meet Minneapolis President and CEO Melvin Tennant. “Our city’s unique blend of cultural and outdoor attractions, and major events and conventions drew visitors from all over, resulting in strong hotel demand and increased activity for our tourism and hospitality workers.”
