Project Showcase - Velwood

Velwood Apartments is being constructed in the commercial district of 50th & France where several single family homes were demolished to make way for this new 5 story multi-use building with a combination of 1 & 2 levels of below grade parking requiring temporary earth retention on all 4 sides due to the tight site constraints. Careful coordination was required to work around existing utilities and infrastructure while installing our beam & lagging system with tiebacks needed for the deeper portion of our excavation, requiring export of 25,000CY of soil.

Olive & Second Apartments

Situated in the heart of downtown Waconia, existing buildings have been demolished at Olive & Second apartments which features almost 30,000 SF per level footprint including 1-level below grade requiring a temporary earth retention system designed with vibratory beam and lagging to include tiebacks to support the depth of cut as well as drill & set of beams onsite. Mass excavation will include open-cut sloping into 2nd Street and exporting 20,000+/- CY and other miscellaneous site grading.
