As recently published by Patently Apple, the hardworking engineers at Apple have awarded the company with yet another ground-breaking patent. Here we explore a new angle on that same theme. The new concept is aptly titled "Chemically Strengthened and Textured Glass Housing Member."
🔍 So let's look at the tech that makes it work:
🔮 The patent is for a piece of glass that is used to protect electronic devices.
🌟It has a base made of aluminosilicate glass and a first surface that has a certain level of roughness.
🔬Bonded to a substrate, a fused composite coating creates a second rougher surface.
🧪 Two ion-exchanged layers enter the glass - one from the surface and the other from within.
The fused composite coating combines unstructured glass with crystallized elements, creating a unique sensory texture on the second surface.
