We took a professional sensory class, instructed by Fred, consisting of five distinct bourbons, with completely different tasting notes. The instruction was informative, and eye opening to many in the group.
Whiskies sampled: Blanton's "The Original Single Barrel" Bourbon Gold, Wild Turkey U.S. Rare Breed, Woodinville Whiskey Co. Private Barrel from 1010 Washington Wine & Spirits, Weller Special Reserve, and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. We tasted each whiskey, then commented on the various flavors exhibited in the dram. Most in the room were completely shocked at the winner, a Woodinville Single Barrel selected by 1010 Washington, a good friend of the store. All whiskies were great pours, but that particular Bourbon was the favorite of the majority of the room. If you find yourself in Minneapolis, you may be lucky to get one of the last bottles of this.

~Blue Razz~ Conditioned on a crazy amount of Blueberries and Raspberries, it’s everyone’s favorite sour candy flavor!
~Miami Vice~ We went ultra-tropical on this beer...conditioned on Strawberry, Pineapple, Lime, and Coconut, this cocktail-inspired beer gives off massive South Beach vibes!
Well, not to worry. Fresh cases of tallboys just went out to Zipps Liquors, Elevated Beer Wine & Spirits, Reverie, 1st Grand Avenue Liquors, 1010 Washington Wine & Spirits, and Falls Liquor.
And the taproom is freshly stocked with crowlers for pick-up and delivery.

Had a really great tour and tasting at Bardstown Bourbon Company. They have some great new products coming out very soon with their own juice!! Tasted the Wheated Bourbon, High Rye Bourbon, and Rye and these may not make it to MN right away but they are definitely worth finding! And if you haven’t been on a tour, make sure you check this place out!

Holy sh**!! A Hillrock Solera Single Barrel!! This Dave Pickerell barrel is cask strength and spent an extra six months in the Oloroso cask and is spread out throughout the Midwest and is one of a kind!IYKYK on this one!
