For nearly 11 years, Lance has been a vital part of the Park Construction team as an Oiler and Mechanic. Whether he’s in the shop or out in the field, he ensures our fleet stays in top shape with routine oil changes and maintenance.
Lance values the great pay and benefits at Park, but what he really loves is working in our brand-new shop—especially the extra space that makes his job even more efficient.
We’re proud to have Lance on our team and we appreciate his dedication to keeping Park moving forward!

We recently hosted a day of comprehensive GPS training at our new shop in Blaine. Our attendees received hands-on equipment training on GPS rover and base set-up, staking, topography, and volume calculations. We also covered equipment connections and machine control in the field. By mastering these essential skills, our members can execute volume calculations on-location, eliminating the need to rely on office-based resources for quantity assessments.
We would like to thank SITECH Northland for their assistance with these training services. Together, we're raising the bar for excellence in construction operations, empowering our staff to not only meet, but exceed industry standards with confidence and proficiency.
Kayla is a third-year apprentice and a Heavy Equipment Operator here at Park Construction. But she's not stopping there - her goal is to become an instructor at the Local 49 Training Center and help the next generation of apprentices grow in their careers.

At Park Construction, safety is more than a priority - it’s part of who we are. Thank you to our entire team for ensuring that every project is completed with safety at the forefront.

The leadership at Park Construction typically focuses on proactive measures rather than lagging indicators, but today we’re making an exception to highlight a noteworthy accomplishment. Through our deep commitment to integrating safety seamlessly into our daily processes, we’ve reached an EMR (Experience Modification Rate) of 0.60!
This number isn’t just about our pursuit of “chasing metrics,” but is a testament to the dedication of our team, who make safety a priority in every task they undertake. It reflects the daily decisions that ensure everyone’s well-being and maintain a safe and productive working environment.
A heartfelt thank you to every member of our team for consistently upholding our high standards. It’s one thing to say you want a safe working environment but it's another to actualize those words. It boils down to the individual decisions made by our incredible field staff and the leadership team that enables those safe decisions to be executed.
Let’s continue focusing on what matters most, creating a safe working environment for all and striving to be an Employer of Choice.

But what really makes Park special to him? The tight-knit crew and the way experienced team members pass down their knowledge to the next generation. That commitment to teamwork and mentorship is what keeps us moving forward.

This week, we're reflecting on one of our past projects: the Devils Lake Pump Station in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
In 2013, we had the privilege of helping safeguard the community from the threat of rising waters. The City of Devils Lake faced a significant challenge—anticipating an increase in lake water levels, the earth embankments around the lake needed to be raised by 5 feet. To address this, an integrated solution was developed: an 8,500 SF pump station at the East Ditch, positioned behind the raised and relocated embankments.
Without this vital infrastructure, the lake's potential to rise above the overflow elevation could have caused severe flooding in the area. At Park Construction, we were proud to provide construction services for this critical project, playing a role in protecting both lives and property.
At Park Construction, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a culture we live and breathe every day. Here’s a look at the numbers that reflect our commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for every team member:
✅ 374 Toolbox Talks: Keeping safety top of mind with regular team discussions.
✅ 4,303 Job Hazard Analyses: Proactively identifying risks before work begins.
✅ 91 Site Safety Assessments: Thorough inspections ensuring every site meets the highest safety standards.
✅ 10 Lessons Learned: Reflecting on incidents and near-misses to continuously improve.
✅ 500 Hours in hands-on safety, leadership, and onboarding training: Preparing our team for excellence.
✅ 316% Increase in Near Miss Reporting: A testament to our team's vigilance and dedication to preventing accidents before they happen.
These numbers aren’t just stats—they’re a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our team to ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of the day.
Here’s to making 2025 even safer! 💪
As we wrap up 2024, we’re reflecting on an incredible year for Park Construction. Thanks to our hardworking team, supportive partners, and loyal clients, we’ve accomplished so much:

✅ Opened a brand-new shop and warehouse
✅ Achieved CHASE Level 3 Contractor status
✅ Named one of the Top 20 Largest General Contractors in the Twin Cities

We’re proud to have built more than just infrastructure this year—we’ve built stronger relationships, innovative solutions, and a culture of excellence. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our incredible team and the trust of our clients and partners.
Here’s to another year of growth, hard work, and success in 2025!
