Remember this guy? Well, he hasn’t sold so I’m wondering if it is the color. I repainted it black. What do you think?
For all of my IOD lovers, the Sisters have announced that all future paint inlays will be limited release AND all current paint inlays will be discontinued.
Can’t wait!!
Salvage Sisters store has been closed for three days so we can turn over our booths for the holidays. We re-open tomorrow morning at 10 with our first holiday even starting tomorrow night. We are calling it Teinkle and Tinsel because the only lights we will be using are the holiday lights and lamps in our spaces. No overhead lighting! It is goi g to be stunning! Here is a brief preview of what you’ll see in my booth.
So we have our answer…..YES, the massive media cabinet can be saved. Here are the before and afters of its journey from dumpster bound to homeward bound.
Moved into a different space at Salvage Sisters so I could sell a bit larger furniture. I tried doing only the smaller stuff but I couldn’t resist doing some larger items. For those of you following along, on Saturday I will be at the store from 12-2 working on the next phase of the coffee/wine bar. Hoping to be mostly finished by the end of the afternoon.
So- here’s the progress so far. The piece has been sanded, cleaned, and one coat applied overall.
Still need to:
Apply a 2nd coat over whole piece
decide what to do with the drawers that pull out and are meant to hold VHS tapes. Want to turn it into storage for coffee cups or other supplies.
Cut a piece for the back;Paint it;
Apply a transfer and add to the cabinet.
Find baskets or wooden crates for storage

When you are moving and have no idea where your pins are, but you need to sew a pillow! Like Clint Eastwood said “adapt, and improvise”.
Before during and after. Just need to make a pillow for each. They will be available Salvage Sisters in Waite Park this weekend. $259 each or $300 for the pair.
Scored two of these chairs yesterday at the thrift store. Going to attempt a French provincial type of look with them. Was thinking about painting the fabric rather than recovering but it has a texture so I’ll have to try that on a different piece.
A few of the recent additions to my space
