how are y’all liking the album?
and of course, happy spooky season from greg

this album is exactly what i dreamed of making when i was a kid. listening to daft punk, justice, and deadmau5 nonstop. sneaking into my dad’s office at three in the morning to spend a couple extra hours on logic 9, then waking up exhausted for school the next morning.

“Flash Memory” went through many iterations and ultimately was finalized over about three months this summer. most of the tracks were recorded over this time, and a couple others were beats from seven years ago that i couldn’t let fall behind.

back then, i would have expected this to come out about ten years ago. but some things require certain timing i suppose. regardless of what happens with this body of work, i’m proud of it, and i enjoy listening to it, and that’s not something i would’ve said for years of my releases up until this point. i’m happy to have grown up, to be older and yet still be able to look back fondly.

“Waver” feat. pluko is out in the world. last single before the album.

sam and i met back in 2018 at firefly music festival. we had dj sets at the same stage, with consecutive time slots. over the years, we’d jam at the studio every once in awhile, never really settling on anything. until eventually (last year i believe) we stumbled onto this idea on my modular synth.

as an introvert, often i forget to branch out, and get in my own head. glad to have made this one with a friend. he pushed it forward in a way i wouldn’t have thought to myself. hope you enjoy ~

first single “Fun (I Just Want)” off of my debut album is out in the world now! i’m singing on it! more info on the album in the coming weeks ~

social media is kinda driving me nuts lately, but trying to be more present and enjoy things. having a really good time with music-making. taking things both more and less seriously at the same time somehow, and going to be releasing more songs in the coming months than i have in the whole 10+ years of this project.

thanks for listening and being here! i feel like most people have been following since ~2017, but finally some new people are trickling in again (hello!). with the new stuff, i’m bringing back some of the old sound with more midtempo, leaning more into progressive house and french house roots (thank you deadmau5, daft punk, and justice), and still pushing forward into new territory. hopefully that comes across on the record. cheers 🙂‍↕️
