We are honored to have spent the morning with Erin, who documented so beautifully our journey and our collaboration with Wisconsin’s WI Local Food Purchase Assistance Program and Tricklebee Cafe!
“WI LFPA is strengthening food systems in Wisconsin by awarding farmers and community partners grants to grow fresh, nutritious food that is picked up and distributed to hunger relief partners throughout Wisconsin and provided to underserved communities at no charge. Martice and Amy founded their farm on the same kind of values and they’ve been working to feed food insecure people in their community.
“Equitable food access and battling food apartheid is really important and I think WI LFPA is doing a really good job to address that,” Amy said. “So many [food pantries in the area] don’t have fresh produce. It’s canned stuff. Fed is the best, but if we can give people fresh produce, eggs, and meat that’s even better. I think it’s great that we can be supporting small farmers to produce things that everyone deserves to eat. There shouldn’t be a checklist of what you ‘deserve’ to eat just because you’re living in poverty.”

Thank you for always nourishing radical love in all that you do and nourishing and feeding the community in so many ways!
At the beginning of this year
Jesus whispered in my ear
Dedication, authenticity, my lil’ wildflower
Keep going, persevere…
As it grows in difficulty
To get folks to move
On behalf of all lil’ children
Even tho’ for society, it behooves.
Then I received a phone call
From Ms. Jillian from F.A.R.M.S.
An opportunity to speak on her behalf
Through Zoom, nothing to be alarmed.
After that was quite the whirlwind
Oh golly what a rush!
Off to The Kelly Clarkson Show
Felt like I was gonna bust!!
To know me is to understand
Don’t need my name in lights
Flying a milkmaid out to NY?
Already famous in my father’s eyes
But given an opportunity
To chat all things love?
Has been nothing but amazing
A blessing gifted from above.
Take care of one another.
Share stories too.
Spread Nourishing Radical Love in all you do!

Y’all. You read right. This milkmaid will be on The Kelly Clarkson Show tomorrow. Tune in and let me know what ya’ think. It’s hard enough for me to put out our Bedtime from the Barn stories once a year, let alone see myself on national tv!! Ha! I’m sure I’ll watch eventually, but mostly I’m just deeply grateful for it all. To the many, many folks that helped ensure a milkmaid made it, thank you. From my farmgirl flying out with me to ensure her mama’s health and well being stayed in check to the Mr. holding down the farm for the first time on his own and doing wonderfully. From the farmily friends offering to be on call and receiving it when needed to the good producers and other folks involved at NBC making a milkmaid feel like a rockstar. From Kelly Clarkson being a lovely host while saying I’m a great hugger and have the best smile to Ms. Jillian’s from F.A.R.M.S. dedication to this rural farmer and others, thank you! This adventure will make such a difference to the farm and our Loveland Littles. Love always gon’ win. Only a matter of time… And dedication paired with authenticity, my lil’ wildflowers!

Recently I had a conversation with my big cuz Will, and he dropped a few jewels-as he does every time I speak to him. But this time was different. most times when I talk to him, I feel like I see from the perspective of a youth, back in the day. Me being the little cousin trying to get a moment of time with my cool big cousin.
But this time he told me he was proud of me. Now I’ve heard these words often enough, but it was the context. We’ve both been in places that we couldn’t leave when we wanted to, and he reminded me of the good choice I made not to get back into that position again. It has been 16 years since that bad choice . But hearing him say it spoke volumes, it meant so much more. He knew the choices, he’d been in the place, and he knows well the pull to fall back into old routines and patterns. I thank you big cuz, you spoke to a younger, still broken part of me, and I am that much more whole and healed for your generosity.
As an adult, when was the last time someone else spoke healing to your inner child? What did they say? What would you like to say to someone else’s inner child to breath love and healing into them. Share that positivity below, tag a person who is deserving of a few “put ups” and prove the internet is not all beefing and cruelty.

Hi all!
It’s raining pretty hard by us right now so we are unable to set up today for rummage/plant sale.
We have plenty of plant babies left so feel free to message us if you would like something and we will pack it up for you.

Friends,
Our farm fam, Ser and Houa Thao of Pea Pod Farms, had their van broken into last summer after a market. Their cash box with almost $19,000 worth of tokens, market vouchers and cash taken from them. Their insurance did not reimburse them.
This obviously impacted them immensely.
Ser and Houa are amazing farmers, mentors and give much to the community.
Let’s help them recoup some of their funds. If you so donate $10 or more today-Saturday, you can come snag a free plant from us as a thank you!
If you can’t donate, please share the gofundme.
