In June 2006, several synod leaders met in preparation for opposing the ban on civil unions and gay marriage in Wisconsin. In November 2006, we became a recognized ministry committee by the Greater Milwaukee Synod Council. Since then, the Greater Milwaukee Synod Reconciling in Christ Ministry team continues to work for the equality and full inclusion of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. Lutherans Concerned/North America is a Christian Ministry affirming God’s love for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities since 1974 and work for the full inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Lutherans in all aspects of the life of their Church and congregations.
Due to the severe weather concerns, we won't be having the Pride worship service at 6:30 this evening. Discussions are underway about postponing the event. Stay tuned.

Three days away, and we can barely wait❣️ We gave away hundreds - maybe even thousands! - of postcards at our booth in PrideFest’s Health & Wellness Area on Friday & Saturday and while marching in the Greater Milwaukee Synod, ELCA’s welcoming Lutherans contingent in the Pride Parade yesterday. I was very pleasantly surprised by how many people said yes when I asked if they would be interested in attending a Pride worship service. We had a productive choir rehearsal this evening, preparing our songs for Thursday. Now all we need is YOU to help pack the pews on Thursday evening! There are churches where we’re not only welcome but celebrated, and we want to share that celebration with everyone, so please consider joining us❣️
