Even black lashes can be hard to see in small diameters but look how much harder it is to see light lashes! I have to look and work A LOT harder on color sets, to be honest, fanning and placement makes me feel like I need my vision checked, but I don’t! They’re just really that hard to see.🔍
Other reasons why color lashes are a price upgrade:
🌺 keeping extra materials in stock, they can be pricier than black lashes and sometimes I have to special order
🌺crafting color sets is a skill. Many artists don’t get I M P A C T like I do with their color accents because they simply don’t do color lashes often enough and don’t know how to style them
🌺a lot of colors simply won’t show up as a classic lash, so often times the color effect you’re hoping to achieve will automatically require volume fans which take a little more time+ skill (=money)

When I started in the lash industry, people withheld information even if it would make everyone safer. I had to figure out on my own to use cavicide to keep my lash space and tools clean because people who paid $20k to go to beauty school really wanted to gatekeep & feel superior about disease and infection control. 🙄 if you don’t notice that crispy doctor’s office or alcohol smell, you may want to look around and see if you notice a jar of barbicide (the blue stuff barbers use) or an autoclave (a big disinfecting machine)… to make sure things are clean because: the bed, the artist’s work space and TOOLS should all be properly disinfected between clients. For artists: you also need to READ the instructions on the disinfecting products. This first pass over my tweezers with a Cavi-wipe does NOT make my implements ready to go! I have a few more steps before they are ready for the next client.
