Life, with its myriad of influences- emotions, climate, diet, habits,- can disrupt the flow of Qi, leading to stagnation, deficiency, or excess.
Healing with acupuncture is about creating the right conditions and letting nature do the rest. In Classical Chinese medicine, they talk about QI- life force, energy, flow. When the energy (Qi) moves freely, you feel good and the body is free of disorder. When it gets stuck, things start to break down.
Acupuncture works by opening those blockages, restoring balance, reminding the body how to function in the way it was meant to. Small shifts lead to big changes.

Enhance your morning routine with a few minutes of acupressure + guided movement (dao yin).
Upon waking, take few minutes to gently massage your face, scalp, and neck. Start by rubbing your palms together for warmth and then gently press around the eyes, making circular motions. Next, massage around the jawline, cheeks, and ears, and then rubbing down the neck and into the pits of the upper shoulder.
With firm pressure, comb and massage your scalp. Pressing areas all over the head to activate blood flow and awaken the senses.
Spring is a time when our body can feel tense and irritable. Applying pressure on Liver 3 on the top of the foot can help relax body tension, draw energy out of the head, and quell anger.

Before you go, grab a little ginger and a seasonal wellness guide 🙏
Spring begins in the lunar calendar on February 3.
Nurturing each season with intention helps guide the energy in our bodies through these transitions. Tea is a simple form of herbal medicine that can easily be incorporporated into daily practice.
This springtime tea supports the liver, nourishes blood and boosts vitality.
Goji Berry + Jujube Tea

Spring stirs the seeds and propels new growth.
Small adjustments to your routine can help you ease into the season.
Expansion in times of growth is vital,
but not so fast.
Qi is rising from the deep and bubbling up towards the surface.
Encourage a smooth transition with longer walks and morning stretching.
Careful of strong winds and sudden shifts in the weather.
Drink green tea for bright alertness and positive brain wave activity.
Massage out tension in the face, neck, and scalp.
Meditation helps with impatience and mental organization
With respect to the energetic changes that occur as the sun yang energy rises, our bodies also need this time to slowly wake up, release tension, and prepare for summer.

Happy Lunar New Year 🏮

"When the Yang energy flourishes, it warms the body and opens the meridians. The Qi moves feely, and illness dissolves like ice beneath the sun."
~ Nei Jing (The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Medicine)
Far infrared sauna therapy warms from the inside out, helping soothe winter aches and energize our qi. Yang resides deeper in our body in winter, so warming the blood and activating our yang can provide much needed energy and relief from tension and pain.
We offer 30 or 60 minute sauna sessions
Warm up, relax, and feel your body release stagnant winter energy.
Trataka Candle Gazing is a practice of intense focus. It takes practice to candle gaze without blinking for a minute, so remember this when you are starting. Always listen to your body and allow this practice to evolve slowly.
Find a quiet, dark space with minimal distractions
Light a candle 3-5' away from your body
Sit comfortably with a straight spine
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths
Gently open your eyes and focus on the candle flame
Hold your gaze without blinking, for as long as you can
Observe your thoughts, but let them go without judgment
When your eyes get tired, close them and focus on the afterimage of the flame
Open your eyes again and repeat
Sit in this peaceful candle light for a few minutes afterward to pause and reflect on this stillness
For a deeper practice in candle gazing that includes eye muscle strengthening exercises, vist:
