From this job, the industry, hair.
For the last few years, I’ve been evaluating the direction I want to go within this career. I have LOVED this time in my life for what it was. It truly has brought me so much joy being able to transform your hair over the years. I just… lost the passion. I’ve been searching for that passion again but I haven’t been able to find it behind the chair. Life is still bringing me joy, but from different places, and I need the opportunity to explore those places. I know it’s shocking, and I’m sorry. Thank you so much to anyone who ever sat in my chair, showed me support, and encouraged me through my journey as a hairstylist. You mean the world to me and you always will.

I’m beyond grateful for for giving me the space to realize this. I’ve slowly been able to find myself again and that experience is invaluable.

Teresa doesn’t *always* do color, but when she does it’s always something so fun and creative like this copper color block. Out of the box ideas along with realistic expectations makes for magic in my chair🧚‍♀️

Rachel came in with a super fun idea to do a 90s inspired color blocking situation. I LOVE change and this was a really good one. We didn’t have to shift her vibe too much from what shes used to so she didn’t lose herself in her new style. A bit of pizzazz is always welcome in my chair🤌🏻

I’m OBSESSED with how .h looks with this strawberry blonde. She’s been talking about having a hint of strawberry for quite some time and I’m so honored to have been able to make that happen for her

I LOVE change. If done too frequently, flip flopping back and forth from blonde to brunette can be challenging and compromising to your hair. My specialty is very low maintenance hair which means that winter brunette we did has plenty of time to gradually fade out by the time you’re ready to be summer blonde again☀️

I love drastic changes. I love big fixes. I love looooong appointments. This kind of project really requires a lot of brain power and flexing those muscles up there is very satisfying for me. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed with choices when it comes to getting your hair done. I know it’s hard to put your trust in another human being, but I’m great at making hair decisions. It’s okay if you don’t know where to start if your hair looks something like this. I do know, and I’m ready to help you🖤

For reference on time commitment, this project was four hours.

It’s been one week without my sweet kitty boy. Words cannot describe how special Harley was. He loved everyone he met without hesitation. He was always right by my side demanding all of the love I had to give. He brought an immeasurable amount of joy to me and to everyone who ever shared a space with him. I’m so grateful for the six years I was able to spend with you purring as loud as a motorcycle and drooling on absolutely everything.

A lot of my clients ask why I’m only in the salon two days a week. This is part of the reason. Every year I am given the incredible opportunity to work with a high school theatre company. I get to teach these kids and watch them grow year after year and it’s the most rewarding thing I get to do. I’ve always been a theatre kid and I will always stay a theatre kid🖤

I love love love cutting Teresa’s hair. She has beautiful natural texture that works really well for this short shaggy style. Plus, look at those bangs!

I couldn’t choose just one photo of Rachel because look how cute she is!! I’ve been doing Rachel’s hair for some time now and this has been my favorite result BY FAR. There’s a few factors as to why I had such success with this color. First: my skills and decision making process have grown over the years. Second: I do not double book ANY appointments. This means I’m able to focus on just Rachel for the entire time she was here for her appointment. I don’t have to multi task and neither does my brain. And third: I work in an extremely supportive and freeing environment. I’m able to focus only on the hair the I love and really want to do so the sessions are extra special💕

The last time Katie came to see me was in January. Per usual, her hair grew out super gracefully without any harsh lines. When I say I specialize in low maintenance color, this is what I mean. If you want to come every few months, that’s fine. If you want to come once or twice a year, that’s also fine. Having special hair does not need to come with a high maintenance schedule. However often you want to come and see me, I can work with that💕

If you know me you know I’m ALWAYS wearing some sort of rainbow. I’ve loved them ever since I was a kid. This Sunday my rainbows featured are a shirt from target, a bracelet made by one of my favorite people and perfectly timed reflection on the mirror.
