About Taylor:

Taylor Hunt is a devoted practitioner and teacher of Ashtanga yoga. He makes yearly trips to Mysore, India to study under the guidance of his teacher, R. Sharath Jois. In 2013, Taylor was granted Level 2 Authorization to teach and has had the honor of assisting Sharath on several occasions. Taylor is dedicated to sharing the healing practice with others and providing a community where practitioners can find support in their practice and daily lives. Seeking to preserve the traditional method, Taylor teaches daily Mysore classes at Ashtanga Yoga Savannah, and online. He offers workshops, retreats, and intensives around the world.

Taylor is also the author of A Way From Darkness and director of the Trini Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the life-changing practice of Ashtanga with those suffering from addiction. He continues to inspire others through his story of personal transformation and accessible approach to the practice.

Drop-Ins for Mysore and Workshops will be available at a later date.

Payment plan available today through April 1.

Join us for this Ashtanga Yoga Immersive Weekend w/ March 20-23!

Nathan found his way to yoga like many, an injury. After receiving a pamphlet in his door about how yoga can cure back pain, he was determined to study yoga and that’s how he found Ashtanga Yoga.

His practice began in 2013 and he made his way to the source in 2018 to study with R.Sharath Jois in Mysore. In 2023, his 6th month in Mysore, Sharathji gave him his blessing to teach with his Level 2 Authorization.

Nathan is an honest and analytical teacher who approaches teaching with compassion and authenticity. His strong understanding of the body and how it functions with each asana allows him to work with the individual student.

Our Intro Series is back in March! ✨

Dates: Tuesdays in March
Time: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Location: AYMKE • 3801 N Oakland Ave
Cost: $175

Over four weeks, you’ll build a solid foundation in the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method, gaining confidence in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Week 1: Foundations of Breath and Movement
- Introduction to the concept of vinyasa: linking breath with movement.
- Learn Surya Namaskara A & B with proper alignment.
- Focus on breathwork and basic posture awareness.

Week 2: Standing Postures and Stability
- Explore the foundational asanas from the Primary Series.
- Develop balance, strength, and stability in your practice.
- Learn modifications to suit your needs.

Week 3: Seated Postures and Forward Folds
- Introduction to a portion of the seated asanas and transitions.
- Understand the flow of the sequence, including vinyasa between poses.

Week 4: Integration and Independent Practice
- Review and practice the sequence as a whole.
- Gain insight into Mysore-style self-practice.
- Learn tips for building a sustainable yoga routine beyond the course.

This course is perfect for complete beginners or those looking to deepen their understanding of Ashtanga Yoga.
