🌞 Summer Storage Tips for Your IC Bus® Electric CE Series Bus 🚍

To keep your electric bus running smoothly after summer storage, follow these essential tips:

🔋 Maintain State of Charge (SOC): Keep between 40% and 90% to extend battery life during long storage periods.

⚡ Regular Charging: Charge to 100% SOC at least every three months.

🌡️ Optimal Temperature: Store at temperatures below 95°F (34°C). Avoid temperatures above 122°F (50°C).

🚍 Periodic Driving: When possible, drive the bus to keep all systems in good working order.

⚠️ Watch for Energy Loss: Extended storage can lead to temporary energy losses. Higher temperatures can increase the self-discharge rate.

🌟🚍 Exciting Times at the 2024 MAPT Region 19 Macomb County School Bus Roadeo! 🚍🌟

On May 11th, Midwest Transit Equipment had the pleasure of showcasing IC's Next Gen bus demo at the 2024 MAPT Region 19 Macomb County School Bus Roadeo. We were thrilled with the incredible foot traffic and the glowing reviews from everyone who stopped by to check out the bus!

Our team, including Mark Grossbauer and Tim Picmann (with a special shoutout to Tim's wife!), fired up the MTE grill and served delicious burgers, hot dogs, and brats to all the participants and judges. 🍔🌭

Despite some early weather challenges during setup, the day turned out fantastic. The event was captured beautifully by Nashawn Craig, a talented photographer and bus driver for Taylor School District. Nashawn not only has a passion for photography but also a love for IC buses.

Nashawn recently placed 1st in the Wayne County Roadeo on May 4th and is gearing up to compete in the state rodeo in Caledonia in a few weeks. Best of luck, Nashawn!
