The word of the day is-OPULENT

I was given the privilege of restyling and refinishing this gorgeous carved wood hall tree for a client and couldn't be happier with how it turned out!💕

I have never geeked out so hard over a piece of furniture I have personally worked on, and let me tell you it was an arduous journey. It is so big and so heavy that it scarcely for in my teeny little apartment. I could obviously not get all of it in one photo. While I was working on it, it decided to tip over and fall on top of me, took a chunk out of my door frame, busted my smoke alarm and caused my life to flash before my eyes. BUT I FIXED IT! 😅

Its not often that I feel so much pride I photograph myself with a piece of furniture, but it felt like a moment I definitely wanted to take some artistic license in staging it in my own home before I pack this big fella up and take him back to his home in Illinois. 😥

A Little Bit About Us:

My name is Annie, Owner and Operator of Bits and Bobs MKE. Working on projects that inspire me from a mysterious and undisclosed location within my adopted city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At it's core, this business venture is the wildest dreams of young gal with a driving passion about the art of "the home" and a bone deep appreciation of late 18th and early 20th century style and of the deep beauty of the natural world. My belief is that anyone should be allowed to create and enjoy an environment that can be unique, stylized, and comfortable all at once. The main body of my work finding new life in antique and well loved pieces, as well as hand crafting decor. The goal of my work is creating in a way that finds a harmony between vintage craftsmanship and modern aesthetic sensibilities and design, in a way that is accessible and environmentally friendly. My greatest hope is to make beautiful furniture and that brings comfort and function to your home, and inspires you to curate your own spaces 💕
