Okinawans always end their celebrations with a Kachashi dance where everyone joins in a group happy dance. It doesn't matter if you don't know how. We encourage everyone to share in the joy by getting up & moving to the beat of the music and waving their hands in the air.
Our way of sharing our good times and joy with others.
Thank you for coming!

Furisode fashion show by Okinawa International University students = 11th, Chatan town (provided)
The Chiyoda Bridal House Winter Festa in Chatan was recently held at the Chiyoda Bridal House Chatan store, and a furisode fashion show planned by students of Professor Masaki Miyamori's seminar at the Department of Business Systems at Okinawa International University was held. Part of a project jointly promoted by companies and students.
The students conducted a survey of more than 100 students to find out how to make furisode and hak**a more familiar to young people. Based on the survey results, we used SNS, held exhibitions in commercial facilities and on campus, and held fashion shows with students as models. A 20-year-old student recalled, "From the questionnaire, I could see that people had an image that k**a were expensive, so I focused on the price aspect."
Hiromi Motoda, vice president of Chiyoda Bridal House, pointed out that there is a growing sense that people don't have to wear furisode and hak**a at coming-of-age ceremonies and graduation ceremonies due to the coronavirus pandemic. She said, "When my friends and people of the same generation wear it, I feel like I want to wear it."
