I would like to personally thank everyone that has called, messaged me, posted on Facebook and that has prayed for Cash and us.

Tuesday night around 8pm I had to make the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. I had to put Cash down. If I didn’t have children and a husband that needed me I would still be laying in the middle of the pasture covered in mud laying with him. My hearts just broken.

People who spend their lives with horses know it - the soul horse. This one horse, to which you have that very special connection. A horse that you can rely on.

I can remember finding him on Craigslist during tax season. I passionately waited for my tax refund to hit the bank and we were off to Wynne AR to pick up my horse. I’ve had many horses before I bought Cash. There was something about him that we just clicked. After my accident with one of my other horses at 18 years old. I had a fear of riding. I rode but I had that fear that never goes away especially when you have been hurt on a horse like I was. He saved me in so many ways. The first time I rode him it was like the accident never happened. He was the type of horse if I would get loose in the saddle he would adjust himself so I didn’t fall.

He came into my life when I need him the most. Going to college full time, full time job, divorce, raising Logan, the stress and heart ache it comes with when you have to had your son over every other weekend and on holidays. If I wasn’t with Logan I was at the barn with Cash. He was my second son. If it was cold out I don’t care if it was 2am. I was going to put a blanket on him.

He was my best friend, boy if he could talk. I told him everything.

Cash is the reason why I opened up Hotshot Farms. He’s the reason we have the property we have. (I almost named the farm after him but instead I named my youngest son after him) to me that was more fitting. I felt like if an animal can do what Cash did for me then I was going to work my ass off save animals and give children and adults the opportunity I had with Cash. Not all kids or even grown ups have the opportunity I had. So I was going to build something that anybody can come too and enjoy the atmosphere and animals. Leave the stress or everyday living at the entrance gate of the farm.

You did so much for me and my family Cash. The farm will never be the same. We love you and miss you.

Some pictures through all the years I owned Cash. He was one of the good ones. 💚💚
Checking in on you. Hope things are going better. Praying for y’all.

HotShot Farms was such a great family experience! We are all so glad that we found it at the last minute after heading to the Naval Base! We loved all of the different activities displayed for all of our arrows to enjoyed. We loved all of the different animals which were all so cute and wonderful. We have all never seen a Llama in real life! We loved the pumpkin patch and the huge haystacks. The Hayride was tons of full. My heart was so full to see our arrows to be free, happy, and excited to do everything at the farm. We all had an absolute blast and we look forward to coming again. God's blessings over everyone involved with the farm, it's awesome!
Thank you for amazing 6th Birthday bash!!!

Keeping Animals Warm in Winter:
A Safety Guide
Adequate Shelters.
The most obvious way to keep animals warm and dry during the winter is to provide them with adequate shelters

Food & Water.
A factor that is just as important as adequate shelter is the right amount of food and water. ...

Manage Mud

Thought winter was finished across the Mid-South? A strong cold front will bring much colder temperatures Friday night along with a chance of snow. Preliminary snow accumulation estimates

Both of my boys have been around and on a horse before they came into the world. I rode until I couldn’t ride anymore being pregnant.

Horses build confidence. A friendship like no other. Neither one of my boys are scared of horses. My oldest will go jump on a horse in the middle of a field and pray for the best😂😂

Logan’s first interaction with horses where my horses Colorado and Tonka

When Dash came around my horses Cash, Hotshot, Remi, Johnny, June, and Sunshine.

I can’t thank y’all enough for the support my farm has received. I can’t believe this will be my 2nd year having a spring break camp. My goal with all my camps will be to cut cost in half or even have camps for free. Each and every parent that has signed up their child.. thank you! Because of you my dream for Hotshot Farms camps are coming true!

I’m still getting details together but I can’t wait for my summer camps. If everything goes as planned kids will be swimming, fishing, and horse back riding. Might even offer night camping!!! Details of summer camp coming in April. (Sorry for the delay)

We pray for all small business owners. Price increases on what it takes to run my farm and feed my animals I can only imagine what other small business owners deal with. We start small businesses not to become rich. We start them because it’s our passion. I do my best with everyone that comes on the farm or if i take my animals some where I try to be as reasonable as possible. The income my farm makes goes 💯 back into the farm to make a better place for animals and people.

Small business owners try not to stress which I know personally it’s very difficult. If your late on vender invoices or past due on things that runs your business work through it. Dont feel like you have failed. Don’t give up! What we do for our community is more important than you may realize. Push through. Where there is darkness there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Cash has always been a handful!
He was a runner! A fast barrel horse. But he just didn’t run the barrel pattern..
Ran through the fire at the farm when I set 8 acres on fire.

Ran up and down hwy 51 shutting down the Highway

Ran through the Navy Base

If you didn’t latch his stall he was going to find away out.

Can’t tell you how many gates he tore down.

Cash was a wild one. He will be truly missed.

When an animal like a horse goes down.. where they go down all you can do is improvise where they went down at and Try to make it as safe and conformable as possible and pray for a quick recovery. Of course we could get a tractor and pick him up but we risk hurting him so as of right now this will work. Thankful for my dad, husband, and son.

During this time we will not be conducting any type of business at the farm. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this will cause. I will not answer fb message, text, emails, or phone calls. Again I’m truly sorry. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As you can see last night we weren’t the only ones not leaving him. I knew animals were smart, loving, and caring. But last night showed me doesn’t matter what breed of animal you have they won’t leave one down. All the animals never left his side the entire night.

Every horse owners worst fear is when their horse is down and not able to get back up. Cash went down sometime sunday morning. I’m just not at the point of giving up on my 30 year old man just yet. He made it through last night and he still has the want to get up. He’s eating grain , hay, and drinking water. His arthritis has got the better of him at this moment and wore himself out trying to get back up. So right now we wait.

I’ll know when it’s that time to call a vet and put him down. Right now I’m doing everything in my power for that to be my last option.

Every cowgirl has that one horse that changes their life. He was mine. He’s been my retired barrel horse now for 8 years. This horse means so much to me I named my youngest son after him. If we weren’t racing we would be in the woods trail riding. He never gave up on me when I needed him so right now I’m not him.

Haven’t really wanted to post this but we said goodbye to Snow our oldest alpaca last week. She will be truly missed. When I rescued the alpacas 5 years ago I knew LuLu and Snow were in their late 20s so it was in just a matter of time. Still doesn’t make it any easier. My animals are part of our family.

Pants is doing good. We have her with our sheep herd to keep her company.
