Found this beauty out in the grass! 🤦‍♀️

While cleaning and refilling chicken waterers I found a pile of bcm and bcoe eggs in some over grown grass. I got some pretty dark pullet bcm eggs BUT my bcoe usually lays with some speckles but this is new! Are these splotches? Smudges? Idk but I love it! I need more! Lol 😆

The only problem is will this still be any good? It could have been in the sun for about 5 days and its been over 100 degrees! It was burning hot to the touch... im guess i cant put it in the incubator 😭😭😭

While i was giving my chickens fresh water I decided hey my horses deserve fresh water too I dumbed all the dirty water scrubbed it down and finally filling it back up.

I swear I already lost 20 lbs doing just this one lol! Im dripping sweat 🥵

Im seriously about to sit in this thing! Iam not playing 😅😅🥵

How do you help your chickens in this heat?

Ive been putting ice in their waters especially their free standing ones. Just so they can dip their feet in there to cool off.

Yesterday it reached 110 degrees and today its about there. I have some frozen fruit trays in the freezer right now so in a couple hours I can take it out to them!

What's your go to on these hot days?

My ladies have definitely slowed down with this crazy on and off rainy then hot weather. But ive been getting some beautiful eggs. So excited for all my pullets to start laying ! Im ready for all the speckles too ! 🙌💜
