Gozzi Racing

What a week! What a night! The guys absolutely busted their butts all week, working until 2:00 this afternoon on the car before making the two hour tow to the racetrack. Things didn’t slow down there, as warmups began at 4:45. We were mid pack in practice on an extremely slick Lebanon Valley Speedway. Started 8th in the heat race and finished 7th. Changed three shocks, springs, tires, you name it before the feature and went 13th to 12th at the finish. It was a night to build on as the car came home without a scratch. There’s no quit in this team! It’s Fran and Justin against the world! 💪🏽

The trailer is fixed! Now it’s time to go racing! The American Racers are coming off and the Hoosiers are going on. We’re working to make our return Saturday night to the Lebanon Valley Speedway!

It was an action packed Friday night! A little too much action for us. We’re going to pump the brakes for a few weeks - it’s been a rough start to the year! Between the trailer issues, our crew chief’s broken ankle, two flat tires, bent front axle, bumpers, etc. we’re going to regroup and come back stronger. We’ll keep you posted. Well after a long week of work on the car, and plan B with the open trailer, we raced tonight. Last week we were too loose. This week, we were too tight. Ran 5th in the heat race. Started 15th in the feature and was up to 10th when we got bounced around in a couple jingles and had to restart in the rear. We were climbing forward again, but caught the second turn wall with four to go and cut the right front tire down ending our night. That’s racing!

Unfortunately we won’t be making it to Orange County tomorrow. The trailer wires tell the story. We’ll regroup and figure out Plan B for Accord next week!

Opening night is in the books! We finished 3rd in the heat race and 11th in the feature without a scratch. The car just got way too loose in the feature. But, we’ve got some notes now and will look to improve next week. As for our next race, we’re heading to Orange County on Sunday!

A little late on the updates, but we finally hit the track last night for practice. We started off pretty well, but went in the wrong direction with some adjustments. At least we learned a lot, and will do our homework for opening night next Friday!

Tire day is always “wheely” fun! Sorry, we’ve been at it for hours. It’s a beautiful day and feels like racing season is here!! ☀️ 🛞

So, we had this brand new radiator in the basement. Brett Hearn had it, and gave us a deal on it. We never used it because there weren’t any mounting brackets on it. Well, we finally decided to have “Fran Fab” machine brackets, and Jim's Welding Service weld them on. Not only did Jim do a fantastic job, he did it in about an hour, and agreed to be our latest marketing partner.
