It’s hard to believe on one side of the world there is so much beauty while on another there is so much turmoil and ugly things happening. I hope this tranquil picture from my walk reminds people of comfort and brighter days ahead. My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine and the loved ones of friends I have over there. It truly is something very difficult to wrap the brain around… I only pray for a peaceful solution💕

When people are appalled that I don’t eat meat and actually tell me they can’t be my friend( I swear this is true)! I just smile, nod, walk away and do everything that makes me happy.

The chef put his handprint in the plate to make his mark. It’s an amazing gesture but I still don’t like it. They are sweet but just don’t know… I still love Aruba

Our feet are a microcosm of the body, and the body is a microcosm of the earth. It’s ok to think of yourself as the center of the Universe–because you are. Not in the selfish or calloused sense, but with a gentle and purposeful awareness that opens the heart to guide, nourish, and nurture our unique, individual gifts–and the relationships we build around us. This state of being comes from the flow of love that circulates within us which is enhanced by our connection with nature. Human beings are like plants to the earth, so let the earth be a grounding platform in this walk of life.

Yesterday when I was on my way to yoga I hear this read on the radio. I kept thinking all week what I would say today snd this says it perfectly. I will never forget exactly where I was and always remember I was at the World Trade Center Marriott and windows on the world with my husband and kids enjoining lunch, the end of a long holiday weekend never knowing what was waiting in the wings for this country. I do know it changed all of our lives forever.

WHERE WERE YOU ON THAT DAY

Where were you on that day 20 years ago?
Did you watch the September sky turn black
And see the towers fall and cover everything below,
While people ran without looking back?

Did you shake your fist and cry
As you stared at your TV in disbelief?
Or say a prayer to the silent sky,
And call loved ones to share your grief?

Did you think of the children who lost a mom or dad
While you pulled your kids closer to you?
And were you proud but also sad,
Watching police and fire do what they do?

The towers were downed by insanity,
But the proud lady in the harbor stood tall.
We questioned this attack on humanity.
As tears flowed for those who gave their all.

On the eleventh of September,
Don’t forget to remember.
